You were heading towards your Vice Admiral's office, the two of you had only been together for a few months and you were keeping it on the down low- trying to avoid any awkward altercations. Your hands had food in them, deciding to bring him lunch since he's been locked away in his office all day.

Quietly opening the door trying not to disturb him too much, your eyes were met with something you never wanted to see. Hina was on top of your Vice Admiral, her chest shoved in his face with his hands on her hips. Closing the door once more you leave the food outside the door, instantly running back to your room.

You felt like an idiot, tears streamed down your face, passing Tashigi on your way back to your room- immediately concern plastered all over her face as she realized where you were running from. Tashigi was the only other person who knew of your relationship with the white-haired man.

Upset and confused about her crying friend she stomps into his office, seeing the reason behind her friend's tears. Hina was buttoning up her blouse while Smoker had an angry look on his face, a dark blush prominent on his face. "What are you doing?!" Both of their heads snap in her direction, Hina having a devilish smirk on her face.

"It's none of your business what I do with the Vice Admiral." Flipping her hair over her shoulder she walks out, pushing Tashigi out of the doorway. Smoker stands up, adjusting his clothes with a sad look on his face.

"It's not what it looks like, she-"

Rolling her eyes Tashigi put her hands on her hips, "It doesn't matter what it was, no wonder (Your Name) ran to her room crying!" Smoker's heart sunk to his stomach, not even realizing that you had witnessed the woman forcing herself onto him. Grunting he pushes past his underling and sees the food meant for two at his doorstep.

Cursing under his breath he makes his way to your room, knowing this was going to be hard to explain. Thoughts flew around his head as he approached your room, his knuckles hovering over the wooden door- hesitating. Your soft cries were heard through the other door, his stomach twisted in knots as he gently opened the door- not even bothering to knock. Curled up in your bed, a pile of used tissues on the floor beside your bed.

The door creaked open, your body tensing at the open door, knowing who it was already by the smell of smoke infiltrating the room. "What do you want?" Your voice was hoarse from crying, not even bothering to lift the blanket or look at him.

"I want to explain." A sad laugh left your lips, Smoker let himself in closing the door behind him, sitting down on the end of your bed. "She pushed herself onto me, I didn't-"

"I saw your hands on her!" This time you sat up, your hair and eyes a mess but you didn't care, tears still rolled down your cheeks as you tried to wipe them away. His hand reached out to wipe your tears but you flinched away, still not wanting to be touched.

"(Your Name), you know I don't want anyone else!" Smoker was getting aggravated, not because of you but because he had to spill out all of his feelings, he wasn't used to saying such things out loud. Moving closer to you he grabbed your hand, his eyes not leaving yours, trying to show you his sincerity.

Your body stayed still, so many thoughts swirled through your head, unsure of what to do or say. Your heart hurt from seeing the two of them, but he didn't sound like he was lying. You searched his eyes for any wavering, seeing nothing but love.

"Smoker." Your tears had stopped but your eyes were still glossy, practically jumping onto him as you sniffled into his shoulder. His arms wrapped around your waist, and a small laugh left his lips as you clung to him. Pulling away you stayed on his lap, poking your finger into his chest, "Next time you throw her across the room."

A loud laugh left his lips, his hands resting on your hips as he nodded his head, agreeing with your statement. One of his hands left your hip, cupping your face as he wiped away any traces of tears from your face. A smile made its way onto your face, enjoying Smoker's soft side, especially since you don't see it very often.

Squirming your way out of his lap, you forced him to cuddle in bed with you, grumbling about still having paperwork to do- but didn't protest any further once he heard your steady breathing. The least he could do was keep you company while you slept, a smile on his face as he looked down at your peaceful face.
