Sanji x Insecure!Reader || Skin

Today was boiling, Nami and Robin were in their bikinis, their perfect bodies reminding you of how imperfect yours was. Your self-esteem has been really low recently, especially since you had gained a bit of weight. Even with this heat wave, you remained in a baggy shirt with long pants, not wanting to show any part of your figure.

These insecurities had blossomed in the past few weeks, you used to have no issue wearing a bathing suit in front of the crew but now this is the most they got. The only person who noticed was Sanji, he dearly missed being able to see your lovely figure - hoping that this heat would persuade you to show some skin. The heat was unbearable, but you were helping Usopp with one of his new inventions not realizing how light-headed you were getting.

Usopp noticed how much you were sweating, and along with the dazed look in your eyes, he offered to go get you some water. "Please? Thanks" The long-nosed man runs to the kitchen to grab you a glass, the worried doctor eyeing your wavering form.

The little reindeer came over, putting his arm against your forehead, a small gasp leaving his lips. "(Your Name)! You're burning up! Maybe you should change into something that will keep you cool." Shaking your head you looked up at the reindeer, a frown apparent on his face.

"I'm okay Chopper, I promise." Patting his head he gave you a small smile before going back to bothering Luffy and Zoro. Shouts were heard in the kitchen as Sanji came over with a cold glass of water, an annoyed Usopp behind him.

"(Your Name)-swaaan, I have a drink for you!~" You gave the blonde a smile, grabbing the water and downing it in two gulps. Sanji gave you a worried glance as he took the empty glass back, heading to the kitchen to grab another one- since you were obviously thirsty.

The heat was starting to get to you, making you have second thoughts about your attire, maybe you should listen to Chopper. Unfortunately before you could ponder it any further Usopp came back ready to keep designing his new invention.

About an hour went by, the sun was now at its peak and you started to feel dizzy. You excused yourself from Usopp pretty abruptly which caused him to raise his brow at you- especially once he saw you stumble when trying to stand. "(Your Name), are you okay?" Quickly nodding your head you started to stumble towards your shared room, hoping to get out of these clothes and take a cold shower.

Luffy stopped you along the way, pulling you aside to show you the fish he caught, asking you to open the fish tank for him. Before you could respond your legs buckled from underneath of you, causing you to collapse. Frantic, the captain calls for Chopper- who immediately knew what was wrong.
"(Your Name)! I told you to be careful!" You smile at the doctor and pat his head.

"I'm fine I'm trying to get to my room so I can change." Chopper nods and tells Luffy to help you to your room, which he does because it's like 10 steps away. Once you make it into the room you're instantly cooler, the shade helping drastically. Rummaging through your drawer you pull out your bikini, contemplating whether of not you should wear it.

At least wanting to try it on you strip yourself out of your sweaty clothes and into your bikini, analyzing yourself in the mirror. A frown apparent on your face as  you look at your body, comparing yourself to the two women outside

Your door was opened as you jumped in surprise, a worried Sanji peaking his head through. Your face turned bright red as your insecurities sky rocketed, throwing a pillow at him. "Don't just open the door! I was changing!"

The blonde laughed as he closes the door, tears welled in your eyes as you thought about how disgusted he must be after seeing you like that. Frustrated with your thoughts you threw your clothes into the bin, knowing they needed to be washed. Throwing a big shirt over your bathing suit you felt a lot more comfortable, stepping outside Chopper now smiled seeing you in adequate clothing.

Sanji looked disappointed when you walked out, making your self esteem drop a bit more- assuming it was from seeing your exposed body earlier. You watched the blonde have hearts in his eyes as he helped the two girls, Nami having Robin put sunscreen on her.

"(Your Name)! Come sun tan with us, I'll put sunscreen on you! " she gave you a small smile as you approached her. Your jealousy of their bodies was the only thing you had against them, the two women always included you trying to help you open up.

You sat down beside her as she motioned for you to remove your shirt, an immediate protest from you. "I think I'll be fine tanning in this-"

Nami shook her head, "what? No way, cmon you have nothing to be embarrassed about!" She gave you a warm smile as Robin nodded her head in agreement, both of them confused by your hesitation. Before you could respond the red head pulled your shirt off revealing your (Favorite Color) bathing suit, a gasp left your lips as your cheeks were bright red.

Taking the sun lotion from Robin she started to put some on your exposed skin, your face giving away your embarrassment. "Compared to you guys.." your voice trailed off, not wanting to finish your sentence.

Nami slapped the back of your head, upset that you would even think that way. A devious smirk made its way onto her face as she called over the blonde cook. She knew if your little crush, deciding to embarrass you a bit more.

"Sanji! Can you come here for a second?" The cook was in the kitchen but came out as soon as Nami called for him.

"Yes! Nami-swaaan. What do you need?" Sanji's eyes trailed over your body as you subconsciously covered yourself.

Nami pushed you forward into the cook, your face feeling like it was going to explode from embarrassment. "Isn't (Your Name) looking great?" You glared at the red head, now understanding where this was going.

"Of course! (Your Name)-Chan always looks gorgeous!" Sanji smiled and looked down at your embarrassed form, "why?"

Nami sighed, looking back and forth between you and the cook. "Well she doesn't think she is." A gasp left the cook's lips as he placed his hand over her heart, as if that statement hurt him physically. Chopper overheard the conversation as he came running over, tears in his eyes as he hugged your leg.

"You're so pretty (Your Name)! Don't think that way!" At this point you had gotten a lot of attention from the crew, everyone agreeing that your insecurities were misplaced. Sweat dropping you thanked the cute reindeer, crouching down and giving him a hug.

"What! Where's my hug?" Sanji pouts as your blush returns, hugging the cook as blood starts to pour out of his nose- the doctor now yelling for the blonde to cut it out.

Laughing at the blonde you decided to push him to his limits. Crouching down next to him you whisper, "Thank you for always making me feel beautiful", right before kissing his cheek.

At this point Sanji was knocked out, too overwhelmed by your affection. Hoping this wasn't going to be the end of it.
