26. Hyunjin (V)

We've all been on edge since Changbin and Minho were taken, add to that the fact that there was a rogue in our house threatening Jeongin and Felix refusing to come and stay with us which meant we had to keep going over to check up on him at home...without him knowing.  It all added up to the fact that we were all a little on edge, even Minho being returned hadn't lessened the tension at home because we had received word that three Rogues had been found dead on the outskirts of the city.  No one knew who was responsible but the Rogues were getting antsy and looking for someone to blame or get revenge on. 

Minho was frustrated and annoyed that Chan had successfully argued his point for Minho to refrain from trying to track down his Ghost until Changbin had returned.  He had been ordered by Master Shammatt not to go alone and if either myself or Seungmin went with him it would leave only one to protect two of our bonds and taking them with us was out of the question.  

Because we were limited in what we could do outside of work, and today was Friday and a national holiday, I was spending my free time relaxing and trying to indulge in my bond with Chan.  Chan however was trying to work, as usual, I had even tried laying naked across his laptop to get his attention...which I did, for all of a few minutes while he turned my butt scarlet.  I had given up around 5pm and decided that lazing on the couch staring at Minho, who was staring back at me looking just as bored, was probably the only entertainment I'd get until my bond made some kind of demand on Chan and me.

My phone rang, it was Seungmin, for some reason, they still had a class on a national holiday and had spent some time in the College library so I assumed he was calling to tell us they were on their way home.

"THE ROGUES HAVE JEONGIN!" Seungmin bellowed down the phone before I even had a chance to say Hi.  Chan's head jolted up and Minho was already on his feet, even though I didn't have it on the speaker they had both heard him.

"We're on our way" I looked sideways at Chan as I closed the door to the safe room behind me, he looked pale and stressed.  Minho and I were fast but it would still take almost ten minutes for us both to get to the college.

We pushed ourselves to get there as fast as we could, being the fastest in our coven I got there a full two minutes before Minho, who was still a little slow from the venom.  Three rogues kept blocking Seungmin to keep him away from a fourth that had Jeongin in his arms, I could see our youngest fighting with everything he had and was, for the most part, beating the living shit out of every part of the Rogue he could reach and was making it very difficult for the Rogue to keep hold of him and maintain any kind of pace.  They hadn't noticed me yet and I used the element of surprise to collide heavily with the one that was carrying Jeongin, snatching our boy back as the Rogue skidded to a halt on his face. 

"Innie are you okay?" I asked as his shocked face realised what had happened.

"I'm not hurt!... Something isn't right...they Just keep running around in circles" he clung to me as I quickly changed direction to avoid a Rogue colliding with us "They're not trying to take me away from here"

Seungmin caught up with us and took Jeongin off of me, Minho finally joining us for the run home.  I felt Chan begin to panic and wondered if our distraction with Jeongin had left my bond open for an attack, but something was off, this wasn't the kind of fear he had when he was in danger, it was panic for someone else.  The image of Felix flashed in my mind and I pulled out my phone, Chan answered instantly

"They distracted us to get to Felix" He sounded like he was barely controlling himself 

"I'm on my way...Stay in your room Channie" I lowered the phone a little "Min...They got Felix, get these two home and meet me...I'm going to track Felix from his place" I turned my attention back to Chan as I changed course. I could feel Chan's desperation to get to Felix "Promise me...I can't focus on Felix if I'm worrying about you"
