After just a few days of living the same boring and desolate life, Ccino saw Nightmare come back for another black coffee. Glad to finally see him again, Ccino hurried to get Nightmare's coffee. But, little did he know, Nightmare usually just came to feed off of the negativity he radiates. "Is there a reason you like coming here?" Ccino asked, but it must have come out wrong because Nightmare didn't seem to react positively. Knowing what Ccino meant, Nightmare purposely reacted in a way that would make him feel much worse than he already did. "What, is there a problem?" Ccino shook his head and started to sweat. "N- No, of course not!" Nightmare glared and left the place after paying and threw the coffee away. But, he stood around outside of Ccino's view to feel the negativity. The amount of guilt and general pain that he had made Ccino feel was unbearable and it made him start weeping. His chest felt so heavy and he could hardly make it to the exit. He felt so foolish for saying that. He felt like he should've just kept quiet. After closing the place, he decided on going back upstairs for the day. He was now once again in his kitchen and staring at the knife block in temptation. One of the cats went over and rubbed his leg, glad to see him once more. He just realized that the cats weren't in the cafe all day. Speeding to the cat bowls, he fed the poor cats as fast as he could. He then made his way to the TV and turned it on to watch before falling asleep pretty fast.

In his dream

He was at the paths once more. Eyeing the one that was almost dead last time, it seemed even worse. The only good thing that was there now we're his cats. He then inspected the other one and saw his dead cat and the sign that said the same as before, "Freedom" The word lingered in his mind and he went up that trail and looked at the drop-off. It was almost impossible to see down below. He was afraid that if he went down there, he might regret it because there was no way he could come back up.

End of dream

He was rudely awoken by a cat pouncing onto his nonexistent stomach. Glancing into the darkness around him, he made out Felix sleeping by the food bowl. His stomach rumbled and that made him go to the kitchen, feeling famished. After making himself some food to eat, he turned on the television and ate peacefully.  A different cat, Fumble, weakly jumped on top of his lap. This made him worried, why would it seem so weak? He felt the soft fur in his hand as he pets it. The cat slowly drifted off to sleep, this was calming until Ccino could no longer feel the breathing or heartbeats. Panicking, Ccino shook it lightly. This couldn't be happening, he doesn't want it to, but it was. His day couldn't get any worse. He started sobbing profusely and kept trying to wake it up but it just wouldn't work. After some time he finally decided to bury the cat. He picked up the cat bed and set Fumble inside of it before grabbing a shovel and walking outside. He dug a deep hole while sobbing and set the cat, along with its bed, inside the hole. After filling the hole back in with dirt, he placed a stone on top of it. He carved into the stone, "Fumble, 2xxx - 2xxx" (For the x in those spots, I didn't want to make a specific date) Fumble's grave was right next to Fluffy, the first to die. Ccino went back to his room and cried himself to sleep, indirectly hoping he wouldn't wake up the next day.
