Ccino didn't see Nightmare until rather late in the day. Ccino, of course, greeted him. He wasn't too worried about his wrists, he had already taken the bandages off. Ccino had forgotten all about it. That was, until he felt Nightmare's presence behind him. Nightmare snatched his hand almost rolling up the sleeve. But, then he realized that he should do it away from customers. His hands strayed away from Ccino, who was now shaken up a bit. "Go into the kitchen, now." Ccino was about to protest against Nightmare but he was cut off by a customer complaining. The customer just wanted some coffee. Nightmare gave a warning glare that sent them running out of the cafe. Nightmare gave a satisfied grin before leading Ccino into the kitchen. The door automatically shut behind them. "So, Ccino, care to explain these cuts?" Ccino stammered, struggling to find words. "You didn't even seem like you were trying to hide them." Ccino could feel his eye sockets welling up with tears. Nightmare sighed, pulling him in for a hug. "I thought that they were hidden... I feel so stupid." Ccino felt embarrassment burn his face and shame fill his chest, making it harder to breathe. "Close this place so that you can take the day off, you can be with me for the day." Ccino lit up, so glad that Nightmare wasn't avoiding him. Ccino served the last of the customers and closed it down for the day. A tendril blocked Ccino's hand from the broom as he was about to pick it up. Ccino looked up, the face of confusion fading at the sight of Nightmare's disapproving face. "You can clean it later, now's not the time." Ccino nodded, slightly disappointed. Nightmare reached his hand to grab Ccino's, leading him upstairs to his living room. "First things first, you're eating." Nightmare began to walk away before Ccino could say anything in response. Ccino slumped over in his couch, letting out a long, tired sigh. Ccino glanced at the remote beside the TV on the TV stand. "Meh." His gaze went back to the wall, where it had been before. What felt like a minute had passed and Nightmare was walking out of Ccino's kitchen with two plates. Nightmare sat down next to Ccino calmly and offered a plate. Of course, this wasn't an offer, Ccino had no choice but to take it. Ccino lifted himself from the arm of his loveseat to grab the plate being offered. The meal consisted of chicken, broccoli, carrots, and mashed potatoes. "I don't have any broccoli or mashed potatoes?" Nightmare gave a smile before replying with. "I brought it over myself." "Oh, okay. I thought you were just using mine." Nightmare shook his head. "I'm not going to use anything of yours, you might need it." Ccino nodded in thanks at Nightmare's words. To Nightmare, it was obvious not to touch other people's stuff unless given permission. That was because, he, himself, didn't like it when his stuff was messed with. Ccino had already started eating as soon as he realized just how hungry he was. Nightmare on the other hand, had only just started. After the meal was finished, Ccino felt quite stuffed and full. "I love you so much, Ccino." It almost felt natural to say that, like he wasn't lying. But, Nightmare would continue to tell himself that he was lying. "I love you too my ball of goop." Nightmare chuckled while Ccino giggled. Wait, that was a missed opportunity to get him to be sad. Oh well. Night mate wrapped his arms around Ccino's waist and nuzzled his face. Ccino smiled and nuzzled back, the pit in his chest filling up once more. "Now, about your wrists," Ccino looked away, feeling shameful and guilty. Nightmare thought about the best way to make him miserable and feed off of him. Saying please would be too nice. "Why would you do that?" Nightmare asked in a far to aggressive tone. "I'm... sorry Nightmare.." Ccino said, fighting back tears, but, to no avail. Tears rolled down his cheek bones. Ah, here we go. I know a way to worsen this. Nightmare pulled his arms away from Ccino. "You cry too much. You know what? I don't even care that you cut yourself anymore." This... Hit Ccino like a bus. He didn't even know how to respond. The pit in his chest has never felt heavier. Nightmare pretended to leave, but in all reality, he was just hiding. He wanted the negativity, he liked the power he felt when someone cried or got pissed off. Ccino began sobbing. I don't feel bad for him, I'm using him. Is what Nightmare told himself as he fed off of Ccino's negativity. Ccino walked over to his kitchen. With no hesitation, he rolled down his sleeve and grabbed the knife. He sliced again and again until he felt like the void in his chest was filling up. By the time he looked down there was blood dripping to the floor, and fast. "Wait... No I... Shit." Ccino rushed to the bathroom, panicking. He looked in the medicine cabinet but he couldn't find the gauze, only bandaids. Ccino sobbed in fear, Am I going to die? He felt a familiar presence behind him, who grabbed a roll of gauze that had, for some reason, fallen on the floor while Ccino panicked. Ccino had overlooked the gauze. Nightmare wrapped it around his wrist carefully, a faint smile on his face. "Huh..?" Ccino looked over at Nightmare. "Don't think I feel bad, I just didn't want you to die this way." Ccino looked down. This way? Does that mean he wants me dead? I hope I'm just overthinking... Ccino felt slightly unloved but... he thought that maybe Nightmare was treating him this way because of his own mistakes; He decided against mentioning it. Nightmare left with a glare. He was actually gone this time. "How long was he here...?" Ccino shook his head and went to clean the mess he had made for himself. After that was finished, he stood up the rest of the night cleaning and preparing the sweet treats for tomorrow.
