Ccino reluctantly accepted the few days off at first. But, with Nightmare around the whole time, everything was much better. He didn't feel that pit in his ribs anymore. All he felt was happiness now. He did miss his cats, but it was okay. He told himself, It's okay, they're not suffering anymore. Nightmare missed them too but he told himself something different. It would have happened one way or another, it's best not to put too much emotion into the inevitable. Ccino would go back to work after the few days with a bright new mood. The customers must've noticed and started being more happy to go there as well. Ccino felt like his life couldn't get any better. His thought of self-harm vanished completely. The only time he though of it... Was when he saw the scars. He would feel regret for being so rash. But then he remembered, it's okay to go through rough patches in life. Things will get better eventually. Ccino went on to have a happy life, just like in fairytales.

Was that too cheerful? I got something you would enjoy then. If you enjoyed the last ending then I advise you don't read it.

Alternative Ending
Ccino looked appalled and deeply sorrowful. "...You... Used me...?" Ccino paused for a moment as Nightmare looked down at the ground. He clearly felt guilty- No- Ashamed of himself. "So this whole time... You never even loved me..?" Ccino started to well up, not expecting this at all. "I- I did love you, I swear..!" Nightmare pleaded to Ccino, hoping to be believed. "No, it's fine Nightmare... I get it..." Ccino gave a quivering grin, filled with pure anguish at the situation. Tears rolled down his cheeks and he let out a quiet sob. His ribcage felt emptied than ever. This pain he felt, it was worse than any physical pain he could imagine. Nightmare couldn't even look at Ccino. "I'm sorry Ccino... I am... Please, I have always loved you... That's why I told you..." Nightmare tried to reason with Ccino, to no avail."No, it was just your guilty conscience. It must've been..." "Do you want me to leave you be...?(major mistake right there)" Ccino nodded hesitantly, he didn't truly have the desire to be alone. He just wanted someone to hug him and tell him that it would be okay. It'll never happen. He kept telling himself. Nightmare wanted to say something, but he couldn't muster any words to say. He felt that it wouldn't change anything, so he just teleported away. He teleported to his room in the castle where he would start silently weeping. Ccino's sorrowful grin completely faltered and he broke into a full blown sob. Ccino felt like this melancholy would last forever and that there was no end to his misery. His cry made him drop to his knees, his head started pounding, and his eyes stung. After he calmed himself enough, he grabbed a piece of lined paper and a pen. He started to scribble down his best note before he started to sob again. With the note in hand, Ccino sprinted to his kitchen. He placed the note down onto a counter before hastily grabbing the knife... He wasn't even thinking at this moment, but his arms were moving in a repeated motion towards himself. His vision went blurry and he felt himself drop to the hard ground as he noticed that he could no longer breathe. In front of him he could notice a familiar looking black and cyan spot in his vision, shouting muffled words. At first they seemed directed toward him, but then the attention of a cyan dot went elsewhere. Another spot came into his vision, it was also black with some white and it also seemed very tall. It approached Ccino and Ccino could make it that it was kneeling down towards him. Soon the muffled words began to sound more comforting and the corner of Ccino's mouth curled up slightly, before he tried to reach up at this familiar presence. Everything slowly went black and he could feel his body fading away. This all felt strangely relieving to him. The last thing he heard was the sound of very muffled sobs.
