Chapter 18

"Breaking news today folks! It has shown in this live stream that the one and only, Monkey King burning down the village of Mosuki! Can you believe it Josh? The legendary, the hero and the equal to heaven sage burnt down a village! Not so innocent himself am I right?" A man said in the news.

The crew was watching. It has been a week since Wukong had seen Macaque and Resin made out. And the moon festival? It had to be delayed after they heard the news about Monkey King.

"What the hell..?" Pigsy mumbled out. "What is he doing?!" Mei yelled out. Mk was left speechless. His mentor.. THE Monkey King burnt down a village. And he was supposed to be a hero. Now he's back in his old ways back in her journey to the west.

Macaque was shocked as well. "Has he..
Done this before..?" Resin asked Macaque concerned for both monkeys. "Yes but.. that was thousands of years ago. There is just no way he would do this.. not now." Macaque said, having his heart ache.

"We need to find him, now." Mk said in demand. Everyone caught their attention. "No more taking breaks, no more lazing around and start actually looking." Macaque added in. Everyone nodded and attended to business.

Macaque of course went with Resin. "Oh god what is he gonna think.. what will he think if I already moved on THAT quick?!" Macaque panicked. Resin patted Macaque on the shoulders.

"Oh don't worry, I'm sure he'll understand. And remember Macaque, if you want to be with him k wouldn't mind breaking up. I promise. I love you so much and I accept your love with Sun Wukong." Resin explained.

"B-but I don't want to leave you, I don't want to abandon you-" "your not abandoning me. Your simply just breaking us up! We don't have to be separated we can still just be friends." Resin said.

"But-" "listen. It's all your choice. Sure we both will be sad but that's okay. You will have Wukong, besides we will still be friends! We can still talk." Resin smiled.

Macaque nodded and sighed. "Alright.. let's do this!" Macaque said as he started looking around.

The group met up in the middle of town and found nothing of Wukong. "He's not here.. he's not there.. he's not over there.. *mumbles*" Mk rambles. It was obvious that Mk hadn't slept in days.

Sandy patted Mk in the back and tried to comfort him and ease him. Macaque wasn't doing so well either. "We will just.. talk about this tomorrow.. how does that sound?" Sandy asked softly. Mk sighed and nodded "yeah... yeah I think it's best we call it a night and make it a tomorrow's problem." Mk said in defeat and went to his room.

Mei frowned at her best friend. Poor Mk, he's really trying his best! But it's just no use. He's gonna keep running away from everyone who turned against him.

But it was Monkey King's fault, right? He's the problem of everything. Isn't that right Wukong?

Wukong was just walking in his human form close by to where the crew is. It started to get dark and it was best to turn around. Wukong turned around and saw that Macaque and Resin were there staring at him.

It felt disturbing, Wukong thought he was hallucinating and turned around and started to walk fast. Macaque and Resin looked at each other and quickly followed Wukong.

Wukong heard the footsteps behind him and started to walk faster sweating and nervous. "Shit.." he mumbled out and that instantly made Macaque realize it was Wukong. "Wukong!" Macaque called out. With just that, Wukong made a run for it.

Resin was shocked and ran after him. "Mr. Monkey King! Wait!!" Resin called out trying to stop Wukong from getting hurt. "Your going to get hurt!!" He yelled out trying to catch up to the monkey.

Wukong's vision blurred and was not able to see. Wukong looked back and saw that Resin and Macaque were far from him and stopped to take a breath. Wukong took a breath until he heard honking. He then turned his head and saw a huge truck that was on full speed about to hit Wukong.

He then blacked out.

Oh Wukong, how dumb could you possibly be? You really think you could just run forever? It has to come to an end sometime. But of course it's going to play out like how it does every time. You wake up, they argue with you, tell you how useless and selfish you are and then leave you by one last thing they say. "I wish you weren't my successor."
