Note; THIS CHAPTER IS ALSO IN AMBER'S POV. Don't worry, I promise the next chapter will be in Taylor's Pov. And yes, Amber will be actually going to talk to "Detective Harvey" in this chapter. Hope you enjoy! ~Itss_tae
As Madison drove the car towards the jail entrance, my heart filled with fear.
"So because I had no where to take Amanda, I have so stay here with her. If you need anything call me and maybe we can switch jobs or something if..."
"No," I spat at her. "I can do it by myself." I wish sick of people thinking I was he sensitive one. That's I couldn't handle this. Well I could.
She sighed. "Okay. You know what to do. Go find our Dad." I nodded and got out of the car. I pushed through the entrance doors and went up to the security guard standing in the front.
"May I help you?" He questioned impatiently.
"Uh...um yes. Yes, actually I need to see someone. It's very-"
"Did you call in before hand?" He interrupted.
"No...it was a last minute thing. However, it's extremely important." He let out an annoyed sigh before walking up to another guard sitting behind a desk. They talked while occasionally glancing at me.
I took a seat in a nearby chair and observed my surroundings. Everything was a dull gray color. Basically The room was completely colorless, like a black and white movie. There was a woman sitting in a chair across from me. She was holding back tears and looked a complete mess. Besides that the room was empty. A few minutes later another guard entered the room.
"Ma'am...your husband is ready. You may see him now." She nodded and stood. She entered the room that the guard was in and the door was shut- and I think locked- behind them. The guard I was talking to walked back over to me with a clipboard with papers attached.
"I need you to sign these; and I need a form of ID." What would he think if he knew I was nineteen. What was I supposed to do now. I did as he said and pulled my drivers license out of my purse. He scanned it quietly before handing it back to me. I let out a sighed with relief.
The questions on the paper were mostly simple. My name, age, address. Those types of things. The only question that I had a hard time answering was one asking how I knew him. I didn't want to lie so I answered, "family friend," which technically wasn't a lie. Except he wasn't really a friend of ours anymore.
When I finished filling out the papers, I stood up and handed the papers back to the guard. He looked over the papers quickly before walking back over to me.
"Follow me this way." I stood up and followed him into the room the woman went into. Inside he made me take off my all my jewelry, empty my pockets, and leave my purse behind (after he made me walk through a metal detector). After that I was finally allowed to talk to Harvey.
I was lead into another room where a large clear window was separated into sections with a phone connecting both sides of the glass. There were about two or three other people in the room holding meetings, including the woman from the front. I was led to a seat with nobody on the other side. A few seconds later, Harvey entered. He sat down, his hands still cuffed together. He picked up the phone first and I copied.
"Do I know you?" He asked, his voice tired and dry.
"Probably not. But I know you all too well, 'Detective.' I also know you're not here for all of the reasons you should be." He sat quietly for a second.
"What are you talking about? Who are you?"
"I...It's not important. I know your ex-girlfriend however. I know how you beat her. How you kidnapped her father..."
His jaw dropped and he stuttered. "I...How...How do you know that? Who are you?" This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually easy.
"Look," I smirked. "I can explain everything as long as you tell me what I need to know." I paused and waited for him to reply. He stayed quiet and wore a look of fear.
I replied angrily. "Where is my..." I paused and calmed myself. "My client's father?"
"Fine." He hissed. "My friends are taking care of him. Or not taking care of him." He smirked. "Either way I know where he is."
"Look! If you don't tell me where he is, I will devote my whole life to making sure you spend the rest of your life behind bars, or worse."
His evil smirk turned into an evil grin, then it faded into a frown. I wasn't sure if it was a sad frown, an angry frown, or if he knew how much trouble I'd get him into.
"Okay...alright, fine. He's being held in a warehouse in Nebraska."
"The address, please? And if you dare lie to me you'll regret it."
"Beats me. One of my buddies gave me the place to use. It's near a big lake and campsite. There aren't many campsites in the area Madison and I stayed in so you'll find it easily." I narrowed my eyes at him before I stood up and turned around to leave.
"You'll be lucky if you find him alive. We beat the hell out of him. With me not being there to somewhat help him...who's know what they did to him." I turned around to look at him but my eyes filled with tears so I turned back around.
"I hope you find your father." He said in a sinister voice as I ran out of the room...
