"It has been two years since my last confession."

"I - I lost hope at love. She broke me and I don't know how to fix it."

"You come to me for repentance, No?"

"Ye-"

"Then why, child, are you insinuating that you have love for a woman?"

"The church exce-"

"It does not matter of what the church excepted. God is the answer. He does not condone such acts. Tell me Athena, what would mother think?"

"Lucas, mother must never know!"

"Then right now, you put God first and leave these sins. Come back to Greece to stay?"

"You know I can't."

"Has America poised your mind girl!"

"Please, stop yelling. I'm here for forgiveness."

"You shall get none until our Lord is first."

"Lucas-"

"Leave. We are done."

Athena sat at the airport. Her brother had told their parents of her escapades in the Americas. To say they were upset is no where close to it.

Her mother cried as her father yelled.

"Leave you sinful soul. No child of mine will partake in those ungodly acts!"

"Patéras please. I love you. I-"

"If you love us you will be normal. You will marry Alexander. Today."

"What? Patéras no. I will not marry that boy. He's a child!"

"Leave."

"Mama, please."

"Leave now! You are no longer welcome in this home. You have no home here. I have no daughter."

"American Airlines flight 180 non stop, now boarding!"

Athena took one last look at the city she called home for so many years. Her family, or whatever they were now, fogotten. She was alone. Completely alone. She'd pushed away the only person who truly loved her two years ago. There was something entirely different now. Her heart ached. Her last thought before sleep took over.

'I still love you, Jesse. Be safe.'

Jesse sat in the apartment she shared with Nicole.

"Ok, so theres Ambush and Rainbow Catus in Virginia Beach. Or we could go to Rainbows in Richmond." Nicole said.

They had been stationed in the same city which was pure joy for the life long best friends.

"Ambush is good. I don't want to be too far." She replied.

"Great. I'll get dressed. Please add some color to the darkness surrounding you."

Jesse let out a laugh as she watched Nicole leave. It had been two years since Athena left her. She went into what most would call a depression. It wasn't all that bad. She just didn't got out and focused on work. Which was great seeing as she was the youngest woman ever to make sergeant.

She was stationed at Little Creek and Nicole at Fort Hood. It was luck that got them together. They decided to live in off base housing. Made for better parties was Nicole's reason. Jesse just couldn't deal always being on base. Felt like prison to her.

After many outfits and hot showers, they were ready for their night out. The decided to take Nicole's car.

"When we get here, please Nic, please don't bring any girls home."

"And leave my best friend alone? Come on."

"Aye, look baby. My best friend needs to get laid. You got a friend."

The girl Nicole was talking to glanced at Jesse.

"She looks sick. All pale and shit."

"She's nice. And I know she's got stroke game on lock."

"So you two slept together?"

"What!? No!"

Jesse sat in the chair watching as her drunk friend pimped her. Ambush was great. The drag shows amazing. The people fun. However, Jesse couldn't focus. She was too busy thinking about Athena. She heard through some of her friends she went back to Greece.

Athena had just arrived back. She took a cab back to her apartment. 'You have no one. Not even a friend to pick you up from the airport. How pathetic.'

As she sat looking out the window, the driver cleared his throat. "Don't look so sad. There's worse things in the world."

She gave a slight smile. "I guess."

"You visiting someone." He asked.

"No. Just going back home."

"That's cool. I can't wait to get back home. My wife just had a baby. Little girl. She's my princess!" He stated excitedly. "You want kids?"

"No."

"They're amazing. You get to see what it's like to experience something for the first time. Like the sound of rain. Wynter, that's my little girl, she loves that sounds. Falls right to sleep."

Athena just smiled. She never thought of having kids. If she did, she'd love them always. 'Maybe that could help you out of this funk.'

"Oh yes! Don't stop, baby!"

Jesse laid in her bed listening to the bimbo Nicole brought home give her show. This woman was the loudest. Jesse wanted to stuff her mouth.

Turning on her side, she plugged in her headphones. 'Just relax Jesse. Nicole needed this. She's not you. She's has her shit somewhat together.'

She looked through her playlist of music. Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend played first. Her mind went straight to Athena. Two years since the woman ran from her.

Jesse wanted to call. She picked up the phone.

Athena had just gotten home. It was big, empty and dark. Alone. She began unpacking when her phone rung.

"Hello?"

"..."

"Hello, anyone there?"

Jesse didn't know what to say. Athena sounded so sad. She could only come up with one thing.

"I'm sorry."

Before she could reply the call ended. Athena looked to see where the call came from. -Virginia Beach, VA-. She knew no one there.

"Wrong number I guess."

Hey guys!! Finished classes and finally the academy is over!! Yay! (Only for a week.) Anyway hope you all enjoy it. This whole chapter was set in the past. Hopefully it was an easy follow. Also, I do not promote having children. They are domestic terrorist sent to destroy us all. JK. I just don't like kids. Even when I was one. Lol
