Hello Again

12 Years Later

"Nic, don't even think about it."

"What? She's just attractive. I'm not going to break up her marriage."

Jesse looked at her friend Nicole in the driver seat. They were headed to a new job together. Protecting some politician. Jesse had to admit she was sexy. Thought the one time she ruined a marriage, the guy almost killed her. Had Nicole not driven up that moment she had no idea where she'd be.

"We all know what happens then. Don't we?" Nicole said.

Jesse looked over at her, trying to detect her tone. "That was one time. I ask that you not bring it up again."

"Fine. J, whatever happened to that girl? What was her name?" Nicole tapped the wheel. "Agatha, August...Trina?"

"Her name is Athena. And nothing happened. We didn't work."

Jesse never told Nicole how her and Athena ended. Just that they did. It was over and she had a new girl in her bed that same day. Like nothing happened. It would be that way for the years following Athena's...departure from Jesse's life.

Jesse and Nicole had stopped at a bar later that night. It was a lesbian bar called 'Crossroads'. It was big in the lesbian scene. As they sat, Hollis, the bartender, came with a bottle of Blue Moon for them.

"Nice of you ladies to join us. What's the occasion?" Hollis asked.

"We're just here for a drink to finish out the day." Jesse said.

"Wow Nic, been a while since we've seen you." Hollis said.

"I've been busy."

After a little picking from Hollis, the girls made their way to a booth. Jesse was facing the door and the sight that greatest her was shocking. There was Athena.

Athena was lonely. As always she had finished her work at the office. Tonight she wanted some. It have been six months since she had last been intimate with a woman. Packing her stuff, she headed to the bar down the street. Lucky for her it was a all girl bar. No slimy men to hound her. Even after she told them she had no interest in them.

She entered the bar and her eye's scanned the women's faces as they mingled around the the tight space.

She connected with eyes she knew. Years ago in her past, those eyes showed love and trust. Right now, they were filled with shocked.

"I are you listening to anything I'm saying to you?"

Jesse hot up from the table. "I'll be back."

She made her way over to Athena. She saw the fear in her eyes. Eyes that she once looked into as they made love. Fear did not suit those hazel orbs.

"Hi."

"Jesse?"

"In the flesh."

Jesse did not expect the slap that came to her face. 'Yup, she's still mad'

"Thena-"

"No! You do not get to call me that! After what you did. You didn't even say goodbye. You bitch!"

Athena turned leaveing the bar. She did not want to be in the same place as that woman.

"J, what was that?"

"One of your girls not get the memo on no happy ending?"

"Kiss my ass! I'm leaveing."

Jesse didn't say another word as she walked to her truck. It was the same as Nicole's but she always had more power.

She walked out the bar and saw Athena in the parking lot. Right by her truck. 'Fate.'

Jesse knocked on the window.

"Thena? Come on I just want to talk."

Athena looked at the passenger side window. Turning her car on she backed out and drove off. Tires screeching.

Jesse looked to her plates. 'Got you!'

So for now they are not going to be long chapters. This helps me to be able to update faster and more frequently. Honestly, I wrote this on my ride-along.(which anyone can do with their local police department in the US. It fun and informative).
