Seto's Pov

It's been a boring month this month, all I can do is sit in the hospital bed and watch Tv. The only thing that keeps me company is the team coming in now and then and the nurses walking in to check my IV. Today is the day I'm supposed to get out, but it looks like I'm going to need to stay another day... I wish I could just leave.

I heard the door open and I turned my head to see Ian with the waitress from the cafe, both holding something behind them. I smiled and waved my hand to them. They both smiled back happily and looked to each other, then to me again. "I got you something, Seto, I hope you like it!" Ian said as he lifted a bouquet of violets, my favorite flower. I was shocked at the fact he got me a gift. He placed the flowers on my stomach, sitting in the chair on my right. "I also got you a gift!" The waitress said, placing it on the table behind her. She moved out of the way to show five mini strawberry shortcakes. My smile grew bigger than it was before, which I thought wasn't physically possible. I picked the right choice, even if I'm in the hospital.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard beeping. It was coming from Ian. He looked down at his watch and frowned. "I have to go, I got another job to pay off your hospital bill." He said as he got up. "Aww, you didn't have to do that. I could have gotten a job and paid it off." I said, holding on to his arm. He leaned down and kissed me with his soft lips. "I'll be back sometime." He said softly, straightening his back and leaving. Now it's just me and the waitress...

She awed at the sight of us together, but as he left, she resumed what she was doing. She grabbed one of the cakes and placed it in front of me. She sat in the chair Ian was in and handed me a fork. As I ate, she started talking. "If you want a job, I think I can pull some strings and get you one at the cafe..." she mumbled enough for me to hear. I was surprised at what she said, in fact, I was so surprised, I kinda choked on the cake... Once I could breathe again, I said excitedly "You can?" And she nodded, smiling at my excitement. "Thank you so much, you're so helpful... Wait.... What's your name?" I asked, putting my fork down. "My name is Nicole, but you can call me Nikki." Nikki said as she pulled out her phone. She walked outside the room, and was talking to someone on. I continued my cake and finished it before Nikki walked in. She grabbed the plate and the flowers, putting them with the other cakes. "The boss says to meet him tomorrow, since you're getting out tomorrow, and he'll give you your apron." She stated, sitting back down.

I was so happy. I leaned over to hug her, which was a bad idea. I moved too fast, messing up my IV and the machine started to beep. The nurse came in and fixed it, scolding me as she did. I didn't care though, I have a job!
