The silence in the room was deafening. Barry had taken off his suit- there wasn't a point when she knew who he was anyway- and was now sitting alongside Cisco, listening to this no name girl with a bad attitude. He didn't know what it was, but there was something about her. She had short wavy hair with streaks of purple throughout, the deadliest eyes he'd ever seen and a mouth to match. There seriously was not one reason to trust her. And yet he somehow did.

"In the future," she was saying, "the government takes over. Metahumans are too dangerous; they threaten society, so an organization called Earthgov made them America's Most Wanted. Now metahumans live in secret, scavenging for food like dogs. Why? Because the Flash is nowhere to be found." Her eyes directly met his as she said this.

"He disappeared on some top secret mission in 2024 and never returned." The girl looked truly angry, like the Flash had personally offended her. It made Barry narrow his eyes at her. She was hiding something. She knew the Flash. She knew him. He just had to figure out how.

"The newspaper article that Iris wrote," Cisco exclaimed. "That must be what she's talking about."

Oliver lurked to the side, silently observing the girl. She was crafty, that was for sure. If she was lying, he could hardly tell. She had on all black, almost like she was trying to appear frightening, trying to scare people off. He wanted to know why. What happened in her life to make her so defensive?

"Why don't you tell us your name? I'm getting tired of all this waiting around," Oliver said. The girl side-eyed him with a look that said, why are you here? Oliver's hands curled into fists in retaliation.

"Guys, can I talk to her alone for a sec?" Barry suggested, seeing Oliver getting worked up. An irritated Oliver Queen was not a good thing for anyone. "Oliver, it's okay. I've got this."

Cisco protested immediately. "Whoa there. This doesn't sound like the best idea, Barry. We've already tampered with the future enough. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... you see where I'm going here."

"I agree with Cisco, Barry. You don't need to be alone with her. We don't know who... or what she could be," Oliver agreed, glaring at the girl. She rolled her eyes and studied her purple fingernails.

"You guys sure love talking like a girl can't hear you. Honestly, why would I come all the way here just to kill the person I'm trying to find? The future is a war zone. All I want is for the Flash to do his job. Give me a break here." She batted her eyelashes teasingly at Barry. "I only wanted things to go back to the way they were."

"That wouldn't be a problem if you would just tell us your name. "You're making this hard on yourself." Oliver walked over to Barry. "I'm going to let you handle this, since you're so hellbent on doing it your way. Just make sure there are no more black holes in the sky."

Barry looked up at him. "I got you man. Go home," he said teasingly. "I don't need a chaperone."

Oliver held eye contact with him for a while before nodding. He left S.T.A.R. Labs without a backwards glance.

"Alright," Cisco clapped, "let's get to the good stuff. I need your name, age, family background, relationship status and phone number." Barry gave Cisco an incriminating look. "Purely for scientific purposes."

"Cisco I wanted to talk to her alone. Alone," Barry emphasized, clearly dismissing him. Cisco pouted cutely and she couldn't help but laugh.

"Why do you get all the girls? Cisco needs love too," he said with a devious grin. The girl was laughing uncontrollably now.

"It's nice to see you smile for once," Barry commented softly, bringing the girl back to Earth.

"Boy is it ever," Cisco agreed. "I thought you were going to kill us or something."
