Things weren't supposed to go like this. She wasn't supposed to appear smack dab in the middle of S.T.A.R. Labs. She certainly wasn't supposed to run into Barry Allen at the same time. She was going to take a few days, make a plan and reevaluate. Now she was being forcibly interrogated by two super dweebs when she should be trying to find the real Barry Allen, the one that wasn't still wearing Converse and living at home.

"You're gonna have to talk, miss. At least tell us your name," Barry demanded. He was using his little voice-vibrating technique like she didn't already know who he was.

She had been sitting in this seat in S.T.A.R. Labs for a while now, alternating between glancing around the room and giving Barry a once over. God he was young.

"Do you know Ba-" Cisco started before Barry silenced him with a really? look. He started again with an awkward laugh. "Oh yeah. Right. Sorry. Do you know The Flash, mysterious yet strangely beautiful lady?"

She laughed and covered her eyes. Was she really in this situation right now? Seriously?

"Please tell us your name," Barry repeated, staring at her and subconsciously softening his voice.

She finally looked up and addressed him directly. "I don't have to tell you anything."

Barry looked taken aback by her venomous tone. He was so young and innocent looking that she almost felt bad, feeling the urge to apologize. She restrained herself. She apologized to no man.

"I can see no reason to hold me here other than prying for information you're not gonna get. My only crime is trespassing and unauthorized use of your machine. I'll pay the fine or whatever it is I owe you and be on my way."

Barry glared at her with light green eyes. "It doesn't work like that here. You can't just hop out of a black hole into S.T.A.R. Labs and claim there's nothing to tell. We've had far too many experiences this past year with people not being who they said they were. I need to make sure you aren't a threat to Central City."

"How heroic of you," the girl drawled sarcastically. "And you're still worried about that old fart Eobard Thawne? You've got much bigger problems than that."

"Like what? Please tell me there isn't another impending attack from some scientist that hates Barry enough to kill his mother and change history forever, but secretly hides under a cover of mentorship and fake disabilities," Cisco said in one breath. "Because that would be bad."

"Believe me when I say Eobard is not the issue. If anything, he's a nuisance that keeps showing up time and time again. He isn't a danger to you once you learn his game." She cursed her talkative nature. She was revealing too much to them already.

She casually observed her purple nails, pursing her lips. "If I tell you my name, am I free to go?"

Barry nodded. "Sure. I just need to know you have no connection to Dr. Wells."

"Is that with this is about? Well rest assured Barry Allen, I have no connection to that man."

Barry seemed to tense, and the girl stared at him for a second before she realized her mistake. Shit. She wasn't supposed to know his name.

"Just who are you?" Cisco cut in. "Because I don't care how beautiful you are, if you're here to hurt Barry, I'll annihilate you." As nerdy as he was, she didn't doubt he meant it. But she was sick of being accused of things she was guilty of.

She finally snapped. "I'm not here to hurt Barry, I'm here to save him. If he was doing his job right in the first place, I wouldn't even be here! I didn't have to come you know. I just thought since the world had gone to shit and The Flash was nowhere to be found, someone ought to do something. But clearly I was wrong."

"Well from what I've observed, you've given them no reason to trust you. So why would they?" She turned to see Oliver Queen walking towards them, not wearing his green suit but still managing to look pretty bad ass in a black jacket, jeans and boots. She knew he was hot stuff when he was young, but she didn't expect him to look like a model. It was so weird seeing him young, as it was to see Barry, Cisco or any of them young. She could only imagine what Joe looked like without grey hair and wrinkly arms.

"So who are you to Barry for you to know him so well? Is he your superhero teacher or something? Or are you just a fanatic?" Oliver continued. Hot as he was, his arrogance was such a turn off. She had lived a life full of being bossed around by men. It wasn't her thing.

"None of the above. I have no personal connection to Barry. It just serves my best interest that he doesn't drop off the face of the Earth right now. So I came here. But not to find this Barry. It was to find the Barry Allen from my time."

Cisco stared at her expectantly. "And just what time is that?"

She rolled her eyes. Seriously, what was she doing? She didn't have time for this! The world was coming to an end.

"I'm from the year 2043. The time period where there is no Flash, because he disappeared nineteen years ago."

...

The boy was going to be caught if he kept this up. He was supposed to be waiting for his sister to call for him, but he couldn't wait. He had to see her one last time.

She wasn't supposed to be with him. Metahumans were a liability to everyone, and had been condemned to a life of secrecy and ridicule. Without the Flash, Earth was desolate and metahumans were scarce. He didn't have time to be responsible. He only had one chance left- he'd be a fool not to take it.

He just hoped his sister could tough it out for just a little longer.

...

Gah what was that bad chapter? I meant for the plot to get rolling as fast as possible, but it seems to be running a bit slow. I'm sorry. I hope the next chapter is better. Comment. :)
