I just want to let you know that all these characters belong to DC Comics and the CW. Also, there is a quote from Teen Titans in here if anybody recognizes it. I'm not stealing it, I'm just giving credit to the person who wrote it, because it's awesome. That is all. :)
...
When Violet was four, she learned she was different from others. She could do things that normal kids couldn't do. She could steal energy and use it against people. She could change someone's luck to benefit her own. She could fight better, jump higher, and run faster than any human ever could. She wasn't the Flash or anything like that, but she was certainly a force to be reckoned with.
With abilities like these, she couldn't possibly be normal. And based on the dark nature of her powers, she couldn't be good either. Good was never an option for her.
Because of her sad and depressing childhood, she felt she had every right to lash out. She had every right to be a villain. No one would ever see her as a hero anyway, so what was the point? She might as well be what people thought she was.
"So kid, what grudge do you have against the Flash anyway? You seem like one of those lab rats he works with," Leonard asked as his associates (namely, henchmen) set about searching for her guy. Violet wanted to laugh when she spotted Mick Rory among Snart's lackeys. He was flicking a lighter on and off with a glazed look in his eyes. Violet sighed. There was nothing worse than a brainless pyro.
"That's none of your concern. As long as we're in agreement, I'll tell you what the Flash is up to and anything else you want to know. But I have another condition."
Snart motioned for her to go on. Violet cleared her throat. "Iris West, the reporter for Central City Picture News... She remains untouched. Always. Do you understand me?"
Captain Cold smiled his dangerous smile. "Whatever you say kid."
She didn't like that answer, so she aimed for a different one. Using her powers of probability of course. But even that wasn't enough.
Violet set a whole hex on the room of men, especially Cold and Heatwave. If either of them violated her agreement, there would be serious hell to pay. She would make sure of it.
"Start looking in Central City and then branch out. Try Starling City, Keystone City and Gotham. I want him found. Soon," Violet demanded.
When no one answered Violet sighed. She grabbed the nearest man on a computer and drug him to his feet. Her eyes glowed purple and she smiled. The next thing anyone knew, the poor man dropped to the floor, his body limp, his eyes burnt from their sockets.
Everyone turned to look at her with a look of horror on their faces. You could hear a pin drop. Well finally.
With a glance at Cold who was simply watching her with a growing fascination, she stood on a nearby crate and set about introducing herself.
"My name is Violet. You may call me Jinx. I'm the reason you're looking for Barry Allen. It may not make sense to some of you, and you may think this is a waste of precious time and resources, but this will benefit you in the long run. All you need to know is that the longer this man hides in the shadows, the more your children will die. The more your children's children will die. I know because I've seen it. I've seen metahumans imprisoned for being nothing more than what they are. I've seen the deaths of more than half of the people in this city, all by the hands of the government organization that the Flash helped create. Are you going to let him destroy your lives?"
A mass consensus of No's and Boo's emerged from the room. Heatwave looked up from his lighter to give Violet a look of approval.
She nodded. "Good. Then stick with me, and I'll make sure that your futures change for the better. I will not let him take anymore from us simply because we don't submit to his rules and regulations. This is America. We have free will, free choice, and we do as we please, don't we?"
