*1 week later*

*Sam's POV*

Alyssa's been moping around the past couple of days. She's barely gotten out of bed. Jess and Johnson tried to get her to go out, but she won't budge. Nate's coming over today to try and help me get her out of the house for a while. Or at least come talk to her, to cheer her up or something. I just hate seeing her like this.

*Jack's POV*

I've pretty much been laying around all week. I've called Alyssa at least 3 times, but she never answered. I know I hurt her, really badly, but I just want to hear her voice again. I miss her so much. Nate's been trying to cheer me up all week, but it hasn't been working. But I haven't had a drink or smoked in a week, so I guess that's a good thing. I really just want to go over to Alyssa's and tell her that I'm doing better, but I know she doesn't want to see me right now. I feel like such an asshole. I broke the one promise she asked me not to break.

"JACK!" I hear Nate yell.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"I'm going out for a while. I'll be back later."

"Okay. Wait, where are you going?"

"Um, well, I'm going to visit Sam."

"At Alyssa's?"

"Yeah..."

"Can I come with you?"

"Jack, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Why? It's been a week. You can tell her that I've changed. Please just let me come with you."

"Fine, but if she wants you to leave, you have to leave."

"Fine."

"Alright, let's go."

I get into Nate's car and we stop at the store before heading to Alyssa's. This should be interesting.

*Alyssa's POV*

I feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest. I don't want to think about Jack, but he's all I think about. I miss him so much. I just want him back, but he has to prove to me that he's changed. I can't just take him back.

"Princess?"

"What's up Sammy?"

"Nate's coming over in a little while."

"Okay. I'm going to go jump in the shower. I'll be down in a few minutes."

"Okay."

I get into the bathroom, close the door and turn the water on. After a few minutes, I get into the shower and just let the water fall down my body, along with my tears.

*Sam's POV*

I'm glad Alyssa has finally gotten out of bed. Maybe Nate coming over is exactly what she needs. The doorbell rings a few minutes later.

"Sammy boy, how've you been?"

"Not too bad. How about you?"

"Pretty good. I have to tell you something though."

"Okay. What's..." I start to say, but Jack walks in the door and then I go silent.

"Hey Sam" Jack says as he walks in.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to try to get my girlfriend back."

"Jack, you need to leave."

Just then, Alyssa comes down the stairs in her running shorts and a tank top.

"Sam is Nate..." she stops as soon as she sees Jack.

"What is he doing here?"

"Can we talk?" Jack asks.

"Jack, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Alyssa just hear him out, okay? He's been good the past couple of days. And he really needs someone right now. Alyssa, he needs you" Nate says calmly.

"No, Sam and Alyssa are right. I shouldn't have come. I'm sorry. I'll just call a cab to take me back to Nate's."

"Jack, don't be silly. I'll drive you" Alyssa says as she grabs her keys.

Well that's not going to end well.

"No I can take him home" Nate says.

"It's okay. You came here to hang with Sammy. You guys stay here and I'll take  Jack home."

"Alyssa I need to talk to you for a second."
I pull her to the side, away from Jack.
"Do you really think driving him home is a good idea?"

"Sam, this is his chance to prove to me that he's changed."

"Whatever. Don't come back here crying to me."
I know that was harsh, but I had to say it.

"Whatever, Sam" she says as she shoves me out of her way.

Her and Jack walk out leaving Nate and I alone.

"Really Nate?"

"What?!"

"You could've warned me he was coming with you!"

"It was a last minute thing. He found out I was coming here, so he asked if he could come with. What was I going to do? He's still my friend even though he fucked up."

"Whatever bro, if Alyssa comes back crying I'm going to kill him."

"I don't think she will man. Jack's changed. I know it's only been a week but he's stopped smoking or drinking, believe me I tested him. I think she finally got through to him. He needs her Sam."

"I still don't know man. I don't trust him. I don't think she should either."

"Well I think that's up to her to decide."

"Yeah I guess."
