*Jack's POV*

I was praying that Alyssa would let me talk to her, so I'm really glad she's driving me home. Now maybe we'll get a chance to talk.

We get in her car and she starts driving. She turns on the radio and turns the volume up.
I turn it down after a few minutes.

"So how have you been?"

"Fine."

"Come on Alyssa, I know you're lying."

"Whatever Jack. I'm not talking about this right now."

"I'm just having a conversation with you."

"Whatever."

"Come on babe. Please just talk to me."

"Fine Jack, I've been doing terrible. I had to tell the love of my life to get out of my life, and you're not making anything easy. You and your stupid perfect smile and your perfect laugh and your perfect face."

I just look at her and smile. I can't believe she just said that.

"Babe I promise I've changed. Please just let me prove it to you."

"I don't know Jack, I don't know if I trust you. It's literally been a week."

I go to put my hand on her thigh, but she flinches and pulls away. Did she actually think I was going to hit her?

"Babe? Wh-why did you flinch like that?"

"I don't know. I thought you were going to...going to..."

"Going to what? Hit you?"

"I don't know. Maybe" she says softly.

"I'm sorry that the way I've acted the past couple of months made you think that I would ever hurt you. I'm so sorry."

She pulls into my driveway and throws the car in park.

"Just stop apologizing. I'm so sick of hearing 'I'm sorry'. "

"Okay, I'll stop."

"Okay."

I think she was so upset with me that she forgot that she was supposed to be taking me to Nate's. I thought she knew I was staying with him, but maybe not.

"Alright well, thanks for the ride."

"I'll walk you to the door" she says.

This might be my chance.
We get out and walk to my front door.

"Well, we're here so..." She starts to say, but I cut her off by kissing her.

She pulls away for a second, but then our lips reconnect. God I've missed this. We haven't kissed in the past couple of months, hell we barely even talked. And it's all my fault. I'm going to prove to her that I've changed.

I grab her waist and push her up against the door.

"Jump" I tell her as I open the door.
She jumps up and wraps her legs around my torso. I can't believe she's going along with this.
I close the door and head towards my couch with her still wrapped around me. We make it to the couch and I lay her down. She's starts pulling on the bottom of my shirt, so I let her take it off.
