*Sam's POV*
I throw my car in park and rush into the hospital behind Alyssa and the paramedics. I put my arm on Alyssa's lower back and we follow the gurney but then she just stops. And she turns to me with this strange look on her face. The last time I saw that look, was the night her and I got hit by that semi-truck. She turns as white as a ghost and then falls into my arms.
"Hey we need a medic over here!" I yell.
One of the paramedics that brought Jack in rushed over to help. They grabbed another gurney and put Alyssa on it.
"How far along is she?"
"28 weeks."
"That's not that far along. Has she had problems with the pregnancy at all?"
"Yeah she's actually supposed to be on bed rest right now."
"Okay, we'll take it from here" the medic says.
I sit in the waiting room as hours pass. Both Jack and Alyssa are in surgery. I'm waiting for the doctor to come talk to me but I haven't heard from anyone yet. I have no idea what's going on with either one of them. This must've been how Jack felt when Alyssa and I were in here.
God, where the hell is the doctor?*hours later*
"Mr. Wilkinson, you're here for Mr. Gilinsky and Ms. James correct?" the doctor asks.
"Yes sir. How are they doing?"
"Well Jack was beaten pretty badly. I guess it was a bar fight that got out of hand. The police have the other man who was involved in custody and they'll be questioning Jack when he wakes up as well. He had some minor internal bleeding that we were able to take care of, but he hit his head pretty hard, which is why he probably passed out. I don't know how he even got out of that bar, let alone made it to Ms. James' house. Speaking of Ms. James, we're very concerned. We're keeping her overnight because we need to keep an eye on her. I have a feeling she's going to end up going into labor. She's endured a lot of trauma during this pregnancy which has put a strain on her heart and her body. She's having some complications with her heart. We were able to go in and patch up an artery that was on the verge of breaking, but if and when she goes into labor, that artery has a good possibility of exploding, so we want to keep watch. We might just have to perform a C section, but we don't want to do that until it's absolutely necessary. They're both set up in rooms if you'd like to go see them. Alyssa is on the labor and delivery floor and Jack is in the ICU recovering. He'll be moved tomorrow. I'll be back to check on them in a few hours."
"Thank you doctor."
Whatever Jack did, he did it to himself, so I'm going to go see Alyssa first. I'm more worried about her and the baby. I head up to her room immediately after calling her parents to let them know what's going on.
Once I get into the room I see her hooked up to all kinds of wires and I can't help but start to tear up. I've seen her laying in a hospital bed way too many times. I just hope for Isabella's sake Alyssa is okay. Jack won't be able to handle raising a kid by himself if something were to happen to Alyssa. But I can't think like that right now. I just need to be positive. For her. I see her eyes flicked open and close so I rush to her side.
"Sammy."
"Right here baby."
"The baby" she gasps, reaching for her stomach.
"She's fine. You're both fine. They're just keeping you overnight to make sure everything is okay."
"Oh. Okay. What about Jack?"
