Nezha sat on the couch as Mei and Mk talked he was half listening to their conversation, until Mei said something rather jarring to him and Mk "Oh, when I was in there, Ao Lie offered me tea, I took it but not long after the curse of the scroll showed up, it didn't attack but mentioned about a traitor in the group." Mei mentioned, it made Nezha's eyes widen, he didn't take the scroll of memories capabilities into consideration, he let out a breath as he paid attention to the conversation Mk and Mei were having more clearly. "A traitor?" Mk asked shocked as his eyes widened at what Mei had just told him.
"Yeah, but it said 'a man you consider a friend is not what you seem as there is a traitor among you' I don't know I think it thought of another rhyme to say that someone's betrayed us..." Mei responded "Hold on these mortals think I'm a friend?" Nezha thought containing his confused reaction to Mei's words, before he stepped in.
"Dragon girl you know how the scroll is, it can feed lies to get you to doubt your friends loyalty." He lied, of course that isn't what the scroll does, but they don't know that, and they don't need to know that. None of them need to bring any suspicion of a traitor this quick, he couldn't allow it. Not now. "Really?" Mk asked as he and Mei turned their heads to face Nezha, "Uh.. Yeah.. It can do that.." Nezha again lied, hoping they wouldn't question it further as he became thankful that he didn't ask for Wukong's severed piece of the scroll as well as Mei's knowing that he would debunk Nezha's statement almost instantly.
"So there's a chance I'm not going to be a harbinger of chaos?" Mk asked him to which Nezha nodded in response "Yes, that is possible." Nezha responded to the Monkie Kid who then smiled at him before they stood up, "Hey, we're going to get the others ok?" Mk mentioned to Nezha as he pointed to the door "Will you be alright on your own?" Mei asked Nezha, as Macaque, Pigsy and the others were currently at Sandy's place prepare for the second trip to Flower Fruit Mountain. "I'll be fine dragon girl. You both go get your friends." Said Nezha as his face remained straight, though wishing they would leave him be for a little bit.
"Okay then. Bye Lotus Prince!" Mei then exclaimed as she and Mk soon walked out the door.
Nezha breathed a sigh of relief "Alone at last.. As long as I tell them that with Wukong being in Azure's grasp they won't come down, it might deter them from going straight up to the heavens... But those kids are... Unpredictable, they're a liability most times. I could try and convince them to wait the next six to twelve weeks for my ribs to heal so I can retrieve Sun Wukong, make them think that they will need me." Nezha thought out loud, as he stood to get some water "But.. If I'm able to get Wukong back when there is no need for him to be in the hands of Azure, and trick Azure to try and "contain" The Jade Emperor's power to make him less dependant on the artifact I gave him two days prior." Nezha continued to mutter his thoughts to himself, aloud as he thought internally about what he just said for a minute "It isn't perfect, and has many ways where it can go wrong, but... It will do for now." Nezha said as he sat back down on the couch and took sips of his glass of water.
