Today was the day.

Poseidon has been waiting for ages for it to come. He couldn't believe the coronation was finally here. He couldn't believe that today was the day his daughter became an official part of the royal family. The day she became part of his family.

He didn't know how many times those thoughts repeated in his head. How many times he said it out loud, bursting with enthusiasm with a smile stretched wide. Poseidon doesn't know the last he's been this excited.

"You look happy." An amused voice pointed out.

Poseidon turned around as he faced the Olympians. Even Zeus's annoying voice couldn't damper his mood.

"Brothers!" He exclaimed, surprising all three of them when he rushed to give them a giant hug. Poseidon knows that they'd deny it, but he swears that Zeus and Hades melted into the embrace. They even awkwardly patted his back when they didn't know what to do with their hands! "I'm so happy you all could make it!"

Hestia wore a soft smile on her face but before he could greet her, Aphrodite glided forward with a knowing glint in her eyes. "I think I speak for everyone when I say that we wouldn't be anywhere else."

Poseidon nods. He knew that. The Olympians cared about Percy almost as much as he did.

Almost was there because Percy was his daughter. It was only natural that Poseidon cared about Percy more than they did.

They loved her and in his head it made sense. After all, who wouldn't love his daughter?

He noticed Apollo and Hermes exchange smirks and Poseidon's cheery attitude was gone in an instant.

Although, he glared at the two gods. Some of them loved his daughter a little too much for his liking.

Apollo and Hermes froze, feeling the sea gods' piercing glare on their backs. They slowly turned to face him with pale complexions and weak smiles. Poseidon doesn't say anything, he just continued to scowl at the two gods who were actively trying to win his daughter's heart.

"Hi uncle," Hermes broke the silence. "How are y-"

Around him, the water grew ice cold as Poseidon narrowed his eyes and scowled even harder. If you looked closely, ice began to wrap itself around Hermes's legs.

The god shut his mouth.

Apollo grabbed the messenger's wrist, not very discreetly using his powers to melt the ice on his brother's calves. "I think we have to go, uncle. I hear the fish calling for us. They're uh- pleading for help...?" He trailed off, ending the sentence with a questioning tone.

Hermes didn't seem to notice because heimmediately agreed with Apollo, "Yes. I um- hear that too. A hundred peercent!"

The two swam away in haste, desperate to get away from Poseidon's obvious murderous intent toward them.

Pride filled Poseidon from his head to his tails. He still got it.

"You know... you can't chase away every suitor of hers." Hades drawled from behind him.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Poseidon knew what he was talking about.

When he turned around, he could tell that Hades knew he was lying. "As of now, Hermes and Apollo are the only insistent ones." His eldest brother crossed his arms impatiently, "But as the days pass and as we begin to heal from the war. More gods will join in."
