"Let's blow this popsicle stand."

"Well I can safely say that sharing a bedroom with you is easier than sharing one with Paris," Rory told her sister during their now usual Saturday morning phone call.
"Oh well I'm touched," Cassie laughed as she thought of the idea of Rory having to share a room with Paris. "Only four more weeks, you can survive."
"I don't know, she talks in her sleep."
"What does she say?" Cassie asked with equal curiosity and horror.
"She mostly talks about politics and school," Rory informed her, "But there are a few odd comments."
"Care to share?"
"I think I'll shield you from them."
Cassie nodded her head, forgetting that Rory couldn't see her through the phone. "I won't argue with you."
"That's a first," Rory laughed at her sister before realizing this might be the time to ask Cassie a question. In the last two weeks Rory hadn't gathered the courage to ask her sister about him, but she's wanted to. She just needed the right segway. "So any big plans later?"
"Julia and I are gonna hit up a party tonight," Cassie answered. "Just don't tell mom she thinks we're having a sleepover."
"So who's gonna be at the party?" Rory asked.
"Uh, I don't know, the regular Stars Hollow High people."
"Ethan too?"
"I don't know, he's been working a lot," Cassie replied.
Rory laughed softly, momentarily forgetting her train of thought. "Are you guys dating yet?"
"No, mom, we're just hanging out," Cassie told her but Rory could hear the smirk in her voice.
"Sure, sure," Rory turned her head as Paris walked back into their shared dorm room. That's when she realized she had missed her opportunity to ask Cassie about Jess. "Paris is back."
"Say hi for me," Cassie told her.
Rory looked over at Paris, "Cassie says hi."
"Tell Cassie she still has to send me her list of schools she's applying to," Paris said with a pointed look.
"Okay? She says to send her your list of schools," Rory said into the phone, trying not to laugh when a loud groan came from her sister's side of the phone.
"Tell her I'm not giving her my list. I don't need her making me a calendar like the one she made for Louise and Paris," Cassie replied.
"You can tell her," Rory said, seeing the waiting expression on Paris' face.
