I don't know how or why but here I am crying as my heart breaks. Let me start from the beginning.
Two years ago
I was enjoying a nice jog in the park before heading back home to get some sleep. As I approached the exit gate I felt a familiar wind blew past me. "Sup red" I turn seeing the blue hedgehog smiling. "Doing my usual jogs what about you blue?" I asked. "My usual run. I was hoping to run into you red" he smiled walking up. "Why?" I asked and saw him blushing while rubbing the back of his head. It was so cute seeing that. "Knuckles look I have been looking at you differently in a good way. I was wondering if ya wanted to go on a date...with me?" He said and I felt my face heat up and I cleared my throat. "I would actually like that" I replied and his ears perked up and his tail wagged. "Great! This Saturday?" "Sure I'll see you then" I smiled and left the park.
Well Saturday came and I was actually nervous about this date. I mean I haven't been on one since Silver left me for Blaze. I was actually not that sad about it because I was falling out of love with him anyways. I looked at my watch and sighed but not surprised that sonic was late. A part of me wants to just leave but I know that hedgehog too well. He may be the fastest thing alive but the fucker is always late. Mostly because he oversleeps, fighting off a rogue robot of Eggman who finally decide to stop his evil ways, and or avoiding Amy if she has one of her episodes where she "needs" Sonic. I scratched that last one off because her and sally went to jail after they both lost it and nearly killed sonic after Tails's 21st birthday and the treaty agreement we signed with Eggman. "Sorry I'm late!" I hear him yell and see he running up. "So did you oversleep or—" "Yeah.... Damn you know me too well...." "Known ya since we were nine blue" I smirked. "True.... Well all that aside let's start our date!" He smiled and looped his arm around mine dragging me into the amusement park.
The date went.... Very well and I was actually very happy the whole time. I saw a different side to sonic and it made me wonder what other sides I haven't seen.
That should've been my first sign.
