심재윤 ☆ Summer was dull and tedious at her father's Resort in Jeju. Everything Moon Doyun needed to make it shine again was a music genius, his guitar and the ravishing moonlight.

Awkward silence

A ballad song started playing on the stage. A man who looked like he was in his early 30s sang with his powerful voice as he played the keyboard.
The crowd had calmed down from just a few songs before, which were way more upbeat than the ballad. Couples were slow-dancing in circular movements, smiling at their significant other. Children ran around the grass, playing and having fun with each other.
Doyun sat down on the lounge couch, trying to catch her breath from jumping and singing too much. Hanbin noticed her, sitting down next to her. He leaned back on the couch, smiling at her while still panting.
"Should we go get something to drink?" Hanbin screamed in Doyun's ear, as the loud music coming from the stage made it impossible for him to speak normally. After a few misunderstandings from the girl, she finally understood what Hanbin was trying to say as she caught everyone's attention by pointing at the bar.
Hanbin and the girls slalomed through the packed crowd. Hanbin excused himself, interrupting some of the dancing people. He made sure to be respectful as he moved around the old couples.
Once they managed to get to the lounge, they sat down at the counters. Jungwon recognized Doyun immediately, excusing himself from the two girls sitting in front of him he was talking to. He jogged towards Doyun, giving her a toothy grin, "How's the night going?"
Doyun was interrupted by Hanni before she could respond, "It's amazing so far! The artists are so good, right?" Doyun raised an eyebrow, does she know Jungwon? They had probably met while working there, but it was weird to Doyun how her friends knew each other.
"They are! I haven't heard such good live music in a while." Hanbin chirped, his eyes glistening.
Jungwon agreed with him. Although he was working, serving drinks left and right, he could still perfectly hear the music from there. From time to time, he even popped his head to the beat, entertaining the customers. "What can I get you guys?"
He quickly served each of them their drinks as they talked about that night and the live music. Shortly after, Haerin and Hanni decided it was time for them to leave. Hanni was exhausted from work, while Haerin had promised her parents she would be back before midnight. It was already late, so they both left saying goodnight, leaving Doyun, Hanbin, and Minji.
"Aren't you tired, Doyun?" Minji asked, stirring the straw in her drink, "The flight must have been tiring for you."
As she said those words, Doyun let a soft yawn out of her mouth, covering it with her hand, "I am, but I really wanted to spend some time with you guys tonight."
Both Hanbin and Minji smiled at her, but before they could continue, a group of young boys stormed into the lounge, sitting on the stools next to them. They were talking loudly, hitting each other in a friendly way, and joking around. The only thing Doyun could understand from their muffled screams were, "We did so good!", "We nailed it!", "Drinks are on me!"
