*beep beep beep!* "Ugh, just shut up!" I groaned as I threw my hand over my alarm clock to end it's dramatic wailing.
As I turn my head to look at the time, I sigh, "7:05 am." I say to myself tiredly. I sit up in my bed stretching and rubbing my eyes. As I feel my hair, I notice lots of frizz and knots.
"Bedhead." I groan as I hop off my bed, dragging my feet to the bathroom. While walking to the bathroom I feel an uncomfortable chill run up my spine due to the cold floor. The floor wasn't the only thing causing this though, it was also the idea of going to school.
It's not like I have any problems in school, I have friends, I'm decently known, and my grades are okay...kind of. I don't really have a reason to not like school, I'm just lazy!
While in the bathroom, I brush my teeth and get myself ready for school. While splashing my face with water I hear a buzz coming from my room. "That's probably Ada." I say to myself. Once I finish rinsing off my face, I jog to my bedroom.
I was right! As I walk over to my vanity I see my flip phone buzzing and slightly moving due to the vibration. As I pick up the phone I put it to my ear. "Ja?" I answer.
"Hey y/n, it's Ada. Your mom called and said she's running late to work so we're gonna give you a lift to school." My best friend says on the other end of the phone.
"Alright sounds good, just give me a warning when you're near so I don't make us late too." I giggle while walking over to my closet with the phone still up to my right ear.
"Gotcha, I'll give you a call. If you don't answer I'll just walk into your house." She giggled.
I smiled while listening to Ada joke. She always knew how to cheer someone up, she was simply a bright spirit.
"I gotta finish getting ready, see you in a little. Love ya lots!" I say while making kissing sounds into the phone.
"Bye!! See you in thirty, love you too n/n!" Ada replies while mimicking my kissing sounds.
After finishing our phone call, I tossed my phone on my bed. After rummaging through my closet a little I found some decent clothing to wear.

After picking out a suitable outfit, I stood in front of my mirror flattening out any wrinkles. While fixing myself, I glanced at the photos that were taped to the top of my mirror.
I smiled as memories started flooding in.
I have two photos that hold a special place in my heart. The first one is of my 14th birthday, where me and my friends decided to throw cake at each-other instead of eating it. The second one is a picture that one of my good friends Marcy took of me and Ada having our first cigarette. It makes me laugh just remembering how bad we were laughing from the smoke burning our lungs.
As I slid over to my vanity, I decided to do some light makeup. I applied mascara, brushed out my eyebrows, tapped some blush into my cheeks, then lined my lips with one of my moms old lip liners.
Once I was done doing my makeup, I applied some vanilla mint lipgloss, and sprayed myself with some cherry and smoke wood perfume.
———————————————————————— As I made my way downstairs, I flipped open my phone to see if Ada texted me, which she did. "Five minutes away! And don't forget your chem homework because I need to copy it. 💋"
I rolled my eyes and shoved my phone in my pocket. I sat down to tie up my shoes and threw on my backpack.
*honk honk* That honking sound was quite familiar. As I stepped out of my front door, I locked it behind me knowing my mom won't be home for a while.
I skipped to Ada's car and heard a click, signaling that her mom just unlocked the car doors.
I plopped inside the car and smiled at Ada, and she smiled back giving me a side hug.
"Thanks so much for taking me to school Mrs. Jakubz. Sorry if it was a little last minute." I awkwardly apologized.
"It's alright dear, your mom gave me a call so it wasn't super last minute." She said to me with a smile. I turned to Ada and she signaled me to look at my phone. As I looked down I saw she sent me a message.
"Christiana asked us to skip first period with her, you down?"- Ada💋
"Ya I'm down, why are you texting me tho.."-y/n
"Because if my mom heard we're skipping first period she'd beat our asses stupid." -Ada💋
"Oh yaa my bad!"- y/n
I looked up at Ada to which she gave me a stupid smile. I rolled my eyes and playfully slapped her arm.
About 15 minutes passed, and we were right outside of our school.
Ada's mom unlocked the door for us once again.
"Alright girls, be safe and have a good day." She said as we stepped out of the car.
"We will, and thank you!" Me and ada both said before stepping out of the car and walking towards the entrance of the school.
"Does she wanna meet in the back?" I asked as I hugged myself due to the cold wind that just blew against my body.
"Yah, let's go before a teacher catches us!" Ada said as she quickly dragged me.
