Chapter 42: Natsu vs. Gray!!

Wendy: "He looks really mad!"

Happy: "Is it because you have a stomach ache?"

Carla: "Why would he be attacking us over a stupid stomach ache you tomcat?!"

Wendy: "Please don't fight!"

Gray: "Stay out of this! Ice Make Lance!"

Gray launched his attack at Natsu's feet, causing him to jump into the air in order to dodge it.

Yu: "is he really going all out against him..."

Daphne: *Laugh* "You just don't get it do you? Start fighting back or you're going to end up skewered or a popsicle!" *points at Natsu* "Now, Gray Fullbuster! Get me a DragonSlayer!"

Gray: "You'll get one soon enough, just hold on."

Natsu: "This isn't like you Gray! What's going on?!"

Gray: "Isn't it obvious? What I wanna know is why you're standing there doing nothing about it!"

He launched even more Ice-Make Lances at Natsu, giving him cause to dodge and jump around the room.

Wendy: "You think this Gray is a fake?"

Carla: "Well we have seen this kind of magic before so it's possible."

Happy: "No, wait! You're right this isn't the real Gray!"

Carla: "And how do you know that?"

Gray then took off his clothes and prepared to attack Natsu once more.

Gray: "Come on! It's getting boring with you doing nothing but dodge!"

Happy: "He took his clothes off! It's the real Gray!"

Wendy and Carla: "Are you kidding?"

Natsu and Gray continued to fight until Natsu punched Gray through one of the walls and into the hall ways of the hotel. Wendy, Yu, Happy, and Carla looked on from the newly made hole.

Natsu: "Come on Gray! You owe me an explanation! What do you think you are doing here?!"

Gray: "A City without Sound..."

Natsu: "What does that mean? Speak more plainly!"

Gray: "That's as plain as it's gonna get. Whatever you're too much of an idiot to understand that."

The rivals then continued to clash in the hallways.

Wendy: "I don't get it. What would cause Gray to suddenly betray his friends like that?"

Carla: "More importantly... why aren't you helping Natsu, Yu?"

You: "The fight is between them, I'll let Natsu handle him for now at least."

Daphne: "Well, you see, Dearest Gray has decided to help me with one of my special projects. Not that it's any of your business."

She then started to munch on a Metamo-Chan

Wendy: "What does that mean?"

Daphne: *mouth full* "I first arrived in Magnolia about 10 days ago to continue my research on Natsu Dragneel's backgrounds, when I- *gulp* When I ran into Gray Fullbuster. He showed great interest in my research and offered to assist me in completing it. He lured the Salamander " here for me. Quite the catch, wouldn't you agree?"

Carla: "Cold blooded betrayal! Plain and Simple!"

Wendy: "I can't believe this is happening! I just can't!"

Happy: "I just knew there was something going on between you two. *flies next to Daphne.* You two... are all lovey dovey!"

Carla: "This is hardly the appropriate time to be joking around! Tomcat get over here and do not speak another word!"
