Chapter 1: MADMAX

October 28th, 1984

Abby Pov:

I'm currently in the principal's office, because i got into a fight again.

"Principal Richards, I am so sorry, for Abigail's behaviour. I promise this will never happen again." My dad told the principal.

"I hope so, Mr. James. Abby, I'll see you tomorrow." Principal Richards says as we walk out.

We walk out of the school, and my dad and I got in the car.

"Abby, this is the third time I got called to the principal's office. What is going on with you?" My dad asks with a concerned face as he continues to drive.

"Nothing." I lied as I looked out the window.

To be honest, the girl i fought with was being loud in class and i just told her to be quiet, and she started being a bitch, so i punched her.

"Well, you better fix this attitude young lady, do you understand?" He says in a stern voice.

I don't reply.

"Abigail. Do you understand me?" He says in more stern voice.

"Yes." I looked down.

It's about 8:00pm, and i'm getting ready to go to the arcade with me friends.

"Abby, do you copy?" I heard my walkie-talkie talk.

It was Dustin who is calling me.

I grabbed it.

"Yeah, I copy." I replied.

"Lucas and I have six bucks total. What's your haul?" He asks.

"Uhm... I-I don't know yet." I stuttered.

"What do you mean you don't know yet?" He questions.

"Hold on. Just call Mike and Will." I quickly turned the radio off, and went down stairs to look for my dad.

As I am going down the stairs i see my dad on the couch watching TV.

"Hey, dad. Can I have, like, five bucks?" I approached him.

"After what you did today, no." He responds.

"Please, dad. I have to go to the arcade with my friends." I begged.

"No, Abby." He replied.

"Come on, William. Just give her five bucks." My step-mom chimes in.

"I'm sorry, but no. You should've thought about this before you fought with another student." He told me.

I sigh, and walked away.

I go up stairs, and knocked on my oldest brother's room.

"Henry?" I called.

He opens the door.

"What?" He asks.

"Can I have five bucks?" I ask him.

"What for?" He raises his eyebrows.

"I'm going to go to the arcade with my friends, and i don't have any money on me." I told him.

"Okay, fine." He says as he gives me five bucks.

I smiled at him and he smiles as well.

"Have fun with your friends." He says.

"Thanks, Henry!" I said, as I grabbed my jacket and rushed out of the house.

I met up with my friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, and we are currently biking towards the arcade.
