Chapter 10: Forgive

It's been two days since their business trip in Busan and once again Taehyung entered Jin's Cafe which made the doorbell ring as he walked through, the cafe didn't have many customers nor has many for it was crowded it was a steady flow of customers

His gaze stuck on his mobile phone as he walked to the counter it was Jisoo who greeted him this time yet the latter only wore a stoic expression on  his face and got straight to the point, ordering his usual drink and the only time his gaze broke off with his phone was the moment he paid for the drink and scanned the area

There, a glint in his eyes appeared as he saw Y/n on her usual seat on the very back corner of the cafe overlooking the busy streets as usual, he began heading her way not even caring about the watchful eyes of Jin and others, he was already used to it

As Taehyung sat in front of Y/n, she gazed at him both making eye contact and staring silently at each other as if they were both talking with their eyes and souls only, they didn't greet each other nor do anything until Y/n broke their eye contact the moment Jin arrived at their table with Taehyung drink 

Jin: Here you go the usual drink and blueberry cheesecake on the house...

Taehyung: So now I get free stuff, huh?...

Jin only smiled at Taehyung before glancing at Y/n as he noticed the tension still existing between the two before he once again looked at Jin and smiled at him thanking him to which Jin only brushed it off telling him there was no need for such a thing before the latter walked back to the counter with Taehyung staring at his figure until he disappears from his line of vision

He then glanced at Y/n and noticed the same red velvet cake that he once saw before Y/n revealed herself to him and their business trip to Busan, unlike her drink that was already halfway into the tall cup, the poor cake was untouched and Taehyung knew the very reason why

Taehyung: So you still haven't forgiven Jin hyung didn't you, My lady?

Y/n finally glanced at him once again before glancing at the untouched cake on the table and huffing a smirk at Taehyung's ability to read her like an open book even though they only met for a short amount of time 

Y/n: No. but what made you think so Kim?

Taehyung: *chuckles* Jin hyung wouldn't just give someone free cakes as he does to me like he does to you...

Y/n: Your point is?

Taehyung: You always eat your pastries or cakes along with your drink or sometimes you have none but ever since Jin hyung and you got into an argument he most definitely always gives that red velvet cake as an apology 

Y/n: and?

Taehyung: And seeing you never touch it unlike your drink which is halfway finished is a major giveaway... the fact that you only ate the cake when I  urged you to do so back then must've felt like a punch in the face for Jin hyung...

Y/n: what a detailed deduction you have there Kim. you can work as a detective at this point...

Taehyung: Too bad I'm the CEO of the most famous company next to yours my lady...

Y/n burst into a chuckle at Taehyung's remark making the latter bring out his unique boxy smile, putting his chin on the palm of his hands as he began to admire the rare sight of Y/n's smile, even though not genuine and more like a sarcastic one it still counts

Y/n: Right... guess you finally accepted that you're not the only one on the pedestal Kim.

Taehyung: hmm... not at all, yet knowing that it was you who is behind the curtains of the company's success just made me feel honoured to be one of the most trusted people to get to meet you as yourself, My lady...
