Homecoming

Homecoming was upon Fairy Tail High and the game was and 2 hours away. Gajeel was in the gym getting some extra jump shots in he was so completely focused he didn't hear the far gym door open and close. A moment later after he made another shot he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Still got that ugly ass jump shot eh?"
Gajeel knew who it was the only person to ever critize his game.
" Yea well colleges ain't complainin'" he said as he looked over his shoulder. Metalicana stood there with his smug grin he stood eye to eye with Gajeel he had short sliver like hair same red pericing eyes he wore a simple white button up tucked into his black jeans.
" Yea well that piss poor excuse for a jumper won't hack it in the big leagues there brat." Metalicana said still smiling at his son.
" Well see about that" Gajeel said returning the grin. Gajeel didn't hate his father he just hated the fact he was gone all the time being a pro basketball trainer just like Igneel they never really were home always training big name starts around Fiore he never got the chance to work with his father so he worked hard on his game himself he knew he had some things to tweak but it was good for now and that's all that mattered to him.
"So no big name star begging for training right now?" Gajeel asked as he made another shot
"Oh, all the time but I told em to fuck off for a few months so I can watch my son play and help him pick a good program to play for"
This almost moved Gajeel but he dismissed it.
"Oh"
Then the gym door close to the hoop Gajeel was shooting on flew open and Levy walked in with a big smile on her face. Gajeel loved seeing her smile it was like seeing an angel every time.
"Hey babe" Levy said as she approached Gajeel. Metalicana raised a brow to this scene before him so the brat got himself a little girlfriend huh must have been gone too long. Levy and Gajeel shared a sweet kiss before Levy noticed someone else was standing there.
"Oh h-hello sir" Levy said out of politeness and embarrassment
"Why hello pretty lady I didn't know Gajeel had a little love bird, I'm Metalicana This brat's father and what's your name hmmm?"
"Levy Mcgarden sir"
"That's a beautiful name Gajeel you never mentioned her in our last phone conversation" he said looking at Gajeel
"Shut it, old man didn't feel the need to" Gajeel replied with a hough.
"Ms.Levy please excuse my gruff idiot of a brat I know you must be a God send to deal with his idiotic behavior"
"Oi, watch it old man you treading on dangerous waters now" Gajeel said with a glare. Levy giggled at their little squabble like father like son they look and act so much alike they could be twins.
"Well I'd love to stay and chat some more with you Ms.Levy but I have to pick up Natsu's father from the airport please keep an eye on Gajeel while I'm gone and please join us for dinner this evening after yalls dance tonight." Metalicana left the gym waving as he went.
"That's your father huh the legendary metal dragon of Fiore Metalicana he seems nice not at all how you described him" Levy said
"Don't let em fool ya shorty that was all an act years of being in the press will do that to ya"
"Are you saying your gonna change too when you go pro?"
" Hell no I'm gonna be the same no matter what and if they don't like it then to hell wit the lot of em"
Levy giggled at his choice of words she didn't know what the future would hold but she did hope Gajeel would stay true to himself no matter how famous he got.

Game time was upon the team and the seniors where standing outside the gym doors with there parents or the people that stood in as substitutes. One by one as their names where called they walked in to the gym applause and cheers filling air to congratulate the seniors on a job well done for the last 4 years. Natsu, Gajeel, Gray and Elfman got some of the biggest cheers. As the team took center court against Succubus Academy their only goal was to win.period. failure wasn't and option at all especially for the Fairies.
Levy, Lucy, Juvia, and Evergreen all sat near the bench to cheer on there boys.
The game was close too close and by half time the Fairies found themselves trailing by 6. Gajeel was especially not happy and punched the hoop stanchion on the way out. As he walked towards the locker room with Natsu they saw their fathers waiting for them.
"The fuck are y'all doing out there huh?" Igneel roared "thoes bastards aren't even on your level and yet y'all are letting them embarrass you in front of your school your parents and your women?!" Natsu flinched as his father layed into him about the 6 turnovers he had in the first half.
"Oi, brat your tarnishing the Redfox name out there your playing like a scared lil girl" Metalicana
"Tch yea well what ya want me to-
" DO WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN SIMPLE QUIT ACTING LIKE THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME PLAYING BALL STOP THINKING AND JUST PLAY!" Metalicana yelled.
All the girls witness the ass chewing Natsu and Gajeel received from their fathers. Levy and Lucy felt especially bad and decided to do what they could to help. When the team came back towards them Lucy pulled Natsu to the side and gave him a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey you know you can beat these guys so play play your heart out. Play for me and no matter what the outcome I'll still be here by your side always." Levy grab Gajeel and wrapped her arms around his torso she was too short to get around his neck.
" Baby you got this ok don't worry about all the extra stuff let me be your motivation your drive the fuel to your fire and I'll handle all of the outside distractions."
Then and there Natsu and Gajeel looked at each other and smirked
"We got some pretty awesome girls huh salamander? let's kick these guys ass"
"I'm all fired up now."
The Fairies came out the gates of the second half hot. Gajeel was playing more physical on both sides, Natsu was taking care of the ball and finding his teammates for open shots Grey was hitting those said shots and Elfman was dominant down in the paint. The Fairies whent on a run that lasted the rest of the game defeating their opponent by 15 and sending the fans to the homecoming dance happy.
