Signing Day

Gajeel and Natsu both sat on the school roof skipping 3rd period as usual talking about different colleges that interested them. Of course now things where more complicated for Gajeel having now been dating Levy for 7 months now and she was headed to Magnolia University. Gajeel sometimes hated the fact his girl was a brainiac her grades and test scores where off the chart, not to mention if it wasn't for her he wouldn't even have the GPA to get a athletic scholarship. There's no way he could even last one week in Magnolia U.
"So metalface got your pick yet?" Natsu asked while playing with his favorite lighter
"No, shorty said she going to Magnolia U and she's been asking me to apply but I know I won't last a single day in that school for geniuses"
"Oh but I heard their basketball team ain't too bad I mean if you when there they be a whole lot better but not a powerhouse like Oak state or Haregon University" Natsu explained.
"Duh they are nothing more than a bracket buster school" Gajeel said looking up at the clouds. Gajeel's phone vibrated and on the screen it said Queen and he instantly open it up.

-why are you not in class?! Gajeel Redfox?!

-tch yep they sure are I'm not on the roof with Natsu I'm in class learning about atoms and stuff

"Yo did your girl just hit you with the 'why are you skipping text'?" Natsu asked nervously. Before Gajeel could answer the stairwell door flew open and there stood a blonde and a bluenette with a murderous aura flowing off of them.
"Awe fuck" Gajeel said under his breath. Both girls began to slowly walk towards their respective boys and had them frozen under their death glares.
"Gajeel..... Please remind me wat I told you about skipping your classes?" Levy said in a dark tone.
Gajeel sighed "that I can't bring my grades up if I keep skipping and the next time you caught me there would be a price to pay."
"Good I'm glad you remembered all that, so guess what your punshiment will be" Levy said sweetly. Gajeel wasn't to concerned in fact he was confident 'a study session from hell or maybe a 2,000 word essay tch shrimp's corrective training losing its touch'. In the months of their relationship Levy has seen the potential in Gajeel and that he's not as stupid as he leads people to believe since then she has been hitting Gajeel hard with hard late night study session or when he screws up in school making him write a essay and then make him fix his own grammatical errors. She was basically preparing him for college. This time however she had a even worse punishment in mind.
"So how long you want the essay shorty?"
"Oh no Gajeel I don't want an essay that's too easy for you now" Levy smirked and motioned for him to give her his ear.
"No fucking for 2 weeks Mr.Redfox that is your punishment" Levy whispered. That crushed Gajeel
"Levy let's talk about this now please" Gajeel pleaded
"Nope your a big boy I'm sure you can control your hormones, now let's get moving you have a press conference soon remember?"
It was national signing day all the top college prospects where picking their college of choice. Natsu and Gajeel's press conference was to be held in the school's autorium to fit the amount of press and family (which was the whole school) in one spot. Gajeel really had no idea where he wanted to play at all he wanted to win a championship seeing as he and Natsu failed this year to win in high school, But he also wanted to forge his own name and be remembered after his playing days.
As Nastu,Lucy,Levy, and Gajeel made their way to the press conference Gajeel look uncomfortable and Levy noticed.
"Hey relax babe its cool if we can't go to the same school you won't be far." Levy said giving him her signature smile.
"Yea well I don't like being away and thinking about what your doing and who your with"
"Think I'll stray?"
"You better not or so help me god I'll make you regret ever meeting me" Gajeel said with a grin.
"Don't worry I'm not the straying type anyways plus it doesn't make sense for me to trade gold for bronze" Levy said
"Gold for bronze? What the hell you talking bout shorty?"
"Nothing now get ready look presentable and just go with your heart's desire and I'll support you the whole way" Levy said fixing Gajeel's tie and collar. Natsu and Gajeel both sat at the long table on the stage in front of them where the hats of their top schools on their list. Natsu had; Hargeon U,Oak state, Crocus Tech, and Onibus State. Gajeel's was; Crocus Tech, Onibus State, and Era U. Jason began asking both players about their time playing for Fairy Tail and will they miss highschool. Of course Natsu said he will Gajeel just grunted as a reply.
"So Natsu where do you plan on going to continue your athletic career?" Jason asked
"This fall I'll be attending the University of Hargeon" Natsu said with a proud smile and Igneel put his hand on his shoulder and beamed proudly.
"And Gajeel where will you be attending?" Jason said.
Now Gajeel was having an internal battle he wanted to play for a great program and go pro that's wat he always wanted but now Levy was involved and he didn't want her to feel like she had you change her life just to be with him, it wasn't fair. Gajeel looked at Levy dead in her eyes and said 'to hell with it' he reached into his waist line and pulled out a folded up black and red hat. He snapped the hat open and placed it firmly on his head. Everyone was in shock
"Guess I'm gonna be attending the University of Magnolia" Gajeel said with a wide smile. And Cheers rang out.
"Oi brat hope ya know what your doing shit ain't gonna be a cakewalk there" Metalicana whispered
"That's fine the bigger the challenge the better I look when I crush em" Gajeel said it oozing confidence. Levy couldn't believe it she had to be dreaming he just turned down all those great schools just so he could attend school with her he sacrificed potentially everything and he was definitely gonna hear about his recklessness later but she was too happy right now to care.
After the press and everyone else left Gajeel remained sitting on the stage thinking about how hard his life was gonna get after graduation. Magnolia's team wasn't terrible in fact last year they beat Hargeon to win the conference but that was their first conference championship in 6 years and then the academic side would be just as hard if not harder.
"Sigh"
"Idiot"
Gajeel looked over his shoulder to see Levy sitting behind him. He layed back and rested his head on her thighs.
"Why?" Levy asked
"Gotta be more specific shorty "
" why are you going so far for me?"
"I don't really know myself but I enjoy spending time wit ya so that's a start, and I'm not giving that up ok?"
"Ok" Levy said while playing with a strand of his hair.
