Shane stood stood, looked outside, and grabbed his coat. He pulled the trigger and the house got protection. Shaken somewhat by the strange experience, the house began to shake. This time the Harpers looked at the field toward the house and noticed that there was a tornado coming. Shaken and puzzled, the harpers picked up things they needed and ran downstairs to the basement Des seemed more rattled by all this that was happening. As strong as the tornado is, Dess could not understand how this suddenly happen. So she started toward the basement as she felt the house shake. As she crossed her arms around Shane, and Bridgit, a very strong tornado struck -- much power in the wind and hail balls. Des was scared. After a while it stopped, Des was scared and when it was done Des didn't know what to say. The earthquake really scared Des. At night, Des can't sleep. There was a little thing that bothered Des, ever since the earthquake she was fine, after she was scared. She's never been through this and she hopes it'll never happen again. It didn't take long for the earthquake to sweep through the town and surrounding countryside. They said that the earthquake - nicknamed The Great thunder - was a little surprising to see. The earthquake was a disaster for a lot. Anytime Des thought of it she would freak out. If you talked to Des about it she's cry and think it's happening again. The disruption caused by the earthquake grew so much that people would have to move out. The only thing The Harpers can do is hope for the best. Hearing the shacking, a night would cause Des to freak out when she hears this. One dark night, a train went by. The clouds had obscured the moon that night, and the whole area surrounding the sky. It felt as if a storm were brewing in that part of the state, and that something else would happen
