Night, Sara is asleep, having nightmares about the alien deity that she had encountered.

Alien Deity: Sara....

Sara awakens from the nightmare, finding John not in bed. She then notices John naked, before she stands up with the bed sheet wrapped around her chest and waist and walks over to John.

Sara: John?

Sara touches John's shoulder, who turns to Sara.

John: You should be asleep.

Sara: Can't really sleep...especially when you're thinking. You know, I always thought men were sexy when they think.

John sighs.

John: Sara....Charles....he had a piece of something that came out of the wormhole...and a day before you showed up, Kala had the same piece.

Sara sighs.

Sara: I fortunately know what you're talking about....

After getting his pajama paints on and Sara enters a tank top and some underwear, John and Sara are discussing the issue of the fragments.

Sara: The pieces aren't fragments....they're crystals...powerful crystals that have amazing power beyond any Enhumans comprehension......They're called Aquila Crystals. They have the power to create a bridge, through time and space....opening a door to another planet.

John: Shit....how long do these doors stay open?

Sara: As long as the crystals are brought together.....but, you guys have the ones you have so that's good.....

John: Why are you telling me this?

Sara: Because the Aquila Crystals....are beacons and also, there markers....for something....something is coming, John....I'm afraid you and your team won't be enough to stop it....I think it's time we talked to the woman that encountered the second crystal.

Outside of Earth, an incoming object enters Earth's orbit and begins to make its descent. At Parker Tower, the Grid, Maria prepares to train with her new staff, grappling hook and electric stun pallets, before Charles speaks into microphone in the booth up above. James, Eva, Josh, Trisha, Alex and Jessica are present.

Josh: Charles, are we sure about this? The Grid is specifically designed for Enhumans.

Charles: I know.

Alex: And you're simply forgetting that Maria is indeed not Enhuman.

Charles: Relax, kids. V.O.X. has put a failsafe on in case it's too much for her. She'll be fine....should be.

Trisha gives a worried look.

Charles: Alright, Maria. I'm going to give a test here. This test will match physical combat and skill. I need to see how you fight if you want to join our team.

Jessica: Wait, Charles. I thought you said Sara was going to be training, too.

James: Her and Dad had to check something out with Kala.

Charles: They'll be updated on Maria's performance.

Charles turns to the Grid.

Charles: You ready, Maria?

Maria nods.

Charles presses a button and a series on training bots appear before Maria, who equips her grappling hooks and shoots them into two bots. Maria then brings herself forward and kicks the two droids down, before then roundhouse kicks another droid and then shoots another three droids down with her shock pallets. Maria is then struck in the jaw by a droid, drawing blood. Trisha briefly gasps.
