No sooner after they found Sonic, They took him back to his shack, though Knuckles notices something. Something off... Sonic was still looking at nothing as if he was just a doll. To Knuckles it was worrisome. Thats when he placed Sonic on the hammock and said, "Uhh guys?" Tails replied, "Oh we actually should apologize." Knuckles frowned and replied, "Well yeah we should but..." But Tails and the girls turn to Sonic and Tails said in guilt, "Sonic? We wanna apologize for not believing you." the villagers there also said sorry but Sonic said nothing. He only looked at them with a blank stare without turning his head and looked up again. Mayor Fink asked, "He's not mad at us is he?" Amy shrugged. Knuckles asked in a little frustrated tone, "Oh come on. Has anyone even noticed there is something wrong with him?" The villagers shrugged and muttered at each other. Tails answered, "Maybe he's sick." Knuckles looked at him in worry and thought, "I better hope that's the case. I maybe dumb but I'm not stupid enough to see whether he's sick or not." Knuckles knew deep down its more than anyone thinks. Old man Monkey asked, "If he's sick, should we take him to the hospital?" Tails then answered the old monkey, "No, its best if one of us stays here. I need some time to know whats wrong with him." Knuckles did not hesitate before he said, "I'll do it."

Tails was surprised as he asked, "Knuckles are you sure?" Knuckles then replied, "I haft to. Somethings not right. I need to. Its my fault this happened." Amy then said, "This is just our fault as it is yours. We can all pitch in and help" Sticks suddenly said, "Sorry Amy. But I got stuff to do." She ran off as everyone else walked to their homes.

For a while, things were not moving on easily. Knuckles being worried for Sonic increased every day. It felt like a vine growing day by day. Every time Knuckles tries to touch him, help him up, or even hug him, Sonic slaps or pushes him away as if to say, 'Don't touch me'. Sonic acted strange. He couldn't get up or speak to anyone. He hasn't even eaten anything not even a chilidog. Knuckles saw how Sonic grew thin by the waist. He looked at him and said, "Sonic I'm worried about you. You haven't eaten anything in days. you're as skinny as a broomstick and your stomach is just flat." Knuckles was going to help him out. Thats when Sonic quickly slapped his hands away. Knuckles was shocked at this as Sonic gave him a 'Keep your hands to yourself' expression. Knuckles asked, "Dude. what's your problem? You're not still mad because we didn't believe you about Eggman, are you?" Knuckles attempted to help him again, but Sonic slapped his hands away again. Knuckles said to himself, "Yep he's still mad."

Knuckles couldn't keep his eyes off of him. He was on his communicator with Tails as he asked, "Have you found anything, its been days." Tails voice answered, "No. I couldn't find anything. Not one thing in Sonic that I can figure out. Either he got bit by a spider, or something is really making him oblivious." Knuckles said to him, "There is definitely something wrong with Sonic Tails. Every time I tried to help him, he slaps my hands away or even pushes me away. I don't think he has any spider bites cause there is none on his body. Something is wrong. Really wrong." He hung up as Knuckles sees that Sonic was starting to get worst. His quills were turning into a darker blue and his chest was growing two lumps.

Sonic can hear a female voice (soft as silk and a kind tone) said, "Once you take this it will start the transformation. You'll probably be in a trance for a week or two. When its complete, you will be a whole new you."

Sonic can feel his 'transformation' inside as Knuckles thought, "He's getting worst. He really needs to eat." Thats when Knuckles said to him, "Listen Sonic. I'll go get us something to eat. You stay here and rest. I promise, I'll be back shortly" Knuckles ran out but that was a big mistake. Sonic sat up and said with his voice slowly turning 'female', "I gotta get back. I'm almost complete."
