Shayera's talk with Knuckles

Knuckles was in the dungeon for several months, fighting for his life in the death battle. Luckily he gets fed by one of the guards.

But he only does it to fight to stay alive in order to impress the woman he loved.

He didn't wanna leave Shayera. He didn't wanna abandoned her again like when he did when she was Sonic.

Whenever he wins in the death battle, it will result in Shayera impressed by him. The crowd threw flowers in the field and that result in Knuckles throwing one to her.

Often times, he would blow kisses at the blue beauty before starting. Shayera blows a kiss back at him for good luck.

Who wouldn't like a kiss of good luck from someone who dresses like a goddess?

After the death battles, he often gets a visit or two in the dungeon from Shayera 'who felt fond of him for real'.

She didn't mind dropping by to see Knuckles in the dungeon once or twice a day. Those crazy kids cannot stop looking at each other while talking.

She really fell in love with him. Though she knew Gray would say 'I told you so'.

Every single drop by in the dungeon was like their on a date in there. Even though it wasn't romantic but as long as they have each other. They're okay.

There are times they made it romantic with dinner and dancing. The guards did have a hand on this 'and they enjoyed making it romantic for them'.

Every death battle had made Knuckles a little mature and wiser.

One evening, she walked into the cell unnoticed as Knuckles was asleep for his next and last death battle.

Shayera leaned on the wall and said, "Hey Knucklehead."

Knuckles woke up to see her and said as he yawned, "Sonic? What are you doing here? It's evening. I gotta get up early for the last battle."

Shayera replied to him, "I thought I drop by for this one time in the lovely evening."

Knuckles blushed before he said, "Thats a surprise I may not notice."

Shayera walks to him and sits down on her knees.

She then said, "You know something? It's probably my feminine side but I think your cute."

Knuckles then said, "The one person I find cute than any other lady is only you."

Shayera replied, "How flattering? But recently I find you cute as well."

Knuckles flatly said, "I bet you say that to other guys." Shayera replied immediately, "Nope. Just you. Other guys like Mark The Taper I just slap them or kick him in the butt. Though I didn't think it through."

Knuckles asked, "What happened?" Shayera replied, "I shoved my heel deep in his butt and I had to unbuckle it to get my foot out. Though he fell and that result in the heel being push deeper into his rear end. As a result he screamed painfully."

Knuckles said to her, "Well he deserved it for kidnapping you when you were Sonic. But what happened to him after that?"

Shayera replied, "He had it surgically removed out of his butt and they had to bleach and clean the heel off. He was also paralyzed to the bone. Turned out it got so deep it damaged his nerves in the legs. He didn't leave the wheelchair since. But he did find love with his Taper nurse."

Knuckles asked, "Mark didn't know it was you right?" Shayera replied to him, "Pretty much. He luckily didn't recognize me. He didn't know anything about me being a prince and all."

Knuckles then said to her, "Well obviously your a 'princess' now."

Shayera chuckled and said, "True to that." Knuckles then commented on her, "You look so much like your mother."

Shayera replied to him, "I know. That's what I thought when I first looked into the mirror. A blue mirror image of my own Mother. I'm taking it as a compliment though."

Knuckles looked away with a blush and said, "Okay..."

That's when Shayera sees it's night time and said, "I gotta go. Good luck tomorrow." She kissed his cheek and ran off.

Knuckles sighed lovingly and said, "I don't wanna leave that girl. Ever. The others probably won't care anyways."
