chapter 3

Rudra's POV

It's Saturday evening and I am in my office....yes I do work on weekends just to make more money and to keep myself busy...I was all alone in the office as it's weekend so it's off for the staff.....I was going through a file when my phone started ringing......I looked at the caller id and found that my mom is calling me I cleared my throught and picked it up

"Hello" I said

"Hi beta........I have an amazing news to give you" she said and I call feel her happiness in her voice

"Yes mom , tell me what is it" I asked

"Beta do you remember few days back when I was asking you for a girl and you said yes.......today her mother called me they are also ready for this marriage and tomorrow we have to go to their house for official ritual" she told me and I am not surprised because who will say no to me I have everything a girl wants .....money, respect , handsome body and also my approval so there is no reason for her to say no that to Rudra oberoi.

" I am sorry mom but I can't come with you guys......I don't want to meet her in person so you can carry on whatever ritual you have to but I have an very important meeting tomorrow so I can't make it" he said in his professional tone which he uses in front of his clients but sometimes in front of his family members when he don't want to discuss further.

On the other side his mother became very upset but she knows if she will try to force him he maybe deny to marry so she thought to let it go

"Ohkay fine.....I will be happy if you could join us" she said and disconnected the call

He felt hurt for hurting his mother but he no way wants to see a girl who is a total gold digger and he already started hating her.

Flashback

Few days ago mom and dad were behind me to get married and to be honest this thing is really troubling me a lot and also affected my work and I don't want anything disturbing my work.

"Beta you are already 28 years old, please get married and let us also free from our duty....your sister and brother are also in the age of getting married but how will they when you don't get married...just think about them as well beta... Please beta" mom said being bit emotional and that's the last thing I want to see

"Mom ,please don't cry" I said to her and went close to her as we are sitting on the couch...I wiped her tears

"Ohkay fine mom , because of you and dad I will marry to the girl whoever you choose for me but please don't cry " I said to her and she become really happy like she wasn't crying a few minutes ago

I must say she is really a drama quess but I love her the way she is

Flashback ends

I sighed and went back to continue my work because the more I think about that girl the more it makes me angry so to calm myself down I continue to work.......I am use to work till late every weekend but today I don't know why I am not feeling like work late so I decided to go to home early

When I reached home it's already 9:30
P.m. and I saw my mother waiting for me and she got surprised seeing me early today

She came forward and kissed my forehead "Go get freshen up and come downstairs I will serve you dinner then" she said and I nodded my head and went to my room.

I changed in my loose and sweatpants and come downstairs and saw my mom already set the table for dinner just for me

I am blessed to have a mother like her

I sat on the dinning table and she serve me the dinner and I have my dinner in silence.
After that I went to sleep and it feels like a long day for me.

I woke up in the morning and get ready for the office but today I will be leaving a Lil late for the office so after getting ready I went downstairs and saw my mom preparing for something

She saw me and asked me to select from the bundle of sarees and jewellery but how can I do that

"Mom tell Shivani to do that ,how would I know what's good for you na" I said

"Stupid it's not for me , you forgot that we are going to see your bride to be today and I am preparing her shagun thal and for that I need your suggestion and please beta you are not ready to go with us but atleast select the things....for your mother atleast please" she emotional blackmailed me and I don't have any other option just to listen her

I selected a green and a maroon saree and also some matching jewellery with it ......I didn't see her but I selected these on the basis of my liking.

After having breakfast and biding bye to mom and dad I left for the office as my brother and sister both are still sleeping saying Sunday is for rest but I don't agree with them because according to me Sunday is a bonus day to work on.

I don't know what but I have a feeling that I should go there meet her and give her a peace of mind but I don't like to waste my time on useless thing so I tried my best to ignore these thoughts and to focus on my work.

So guys...... It's the last update for today 🤣 I won't able to stop myself writing as I am so excited for my first book
