Checking my notifications I had 10+ new messages from the gc,my brother and 1 missed call from my mom.
Calling my mom back the phone rung twice and she answered.
"Hey baby wyd?"
"Hey mama ..Nothing sitting in bed"
" How are you and your brother?" She asked
"We've been good ..when u coming to visit ?" I ask her
"Soon I've just been really busy with work" "God knows I'm ready to see my babies again " she said
Lay and Shad's mom Shantel lived in their hometown Miami FL and worked as a nurse in a busy hospital.After their dad Jamie got sentenced to 20 years in prison for trafficking charges Shantel couldn't take care of 2 kids by herself with nothing saved.Jamie's mom Janice agreed to keep the kids for a year while Shantel moved back to Miami to get herself together.The kids moved to Miami for about 2 years then ended up not wanting to stay because they missed their friends and family back in ATL so every summer , school break or just anytime they had free time they would go stay with their mom.Shantel supported them financially the whole time they lived with Janice and called her kids every single day.Shantel felt like she failed as a mother because her kids didn't live with her but she wanted them to be happy and if Atlanta made them happy then that's where they were staying.
"I can't wait til I can retire you early ..it's gonna be really soon I promise" "Soon as u get a vacation I'm booking you a flight" I said over the phone knowing my mom worked alot not because she had too but she wanted to retire with a good amount of money making sure she would never go broke.
"It should be really soon actually ..I'll look over the schedule ..But I was just calling to see what u was doing I love you baby talk to u later "
