I woke up early this morning did my hygiene and decided to make my wife some breakfast.Its the least I can do considering she's carrying my seed.
I can't believe I really got a lil me on the way
I took out everything I needed to make breakfast and I wanted to finish before Lay woke up. I turned on the stove and laid out some biscuits and started the grits.
I was making cheese grits, sausage ,eggs,hash browns and biscuits . I gotta make sure both of my babies eat good
About half way through I started on the sausage and hash browns I decided to step on the balcony and smoke a wood before all the food got finished.
I came back in and took the biscuits out and turned the rest of the food off and I heard small footsteps coming.
"Mmhh baby it's smells good in here Goodmorning " Lay came around the corner smiling and stretching
I grabbed her in my arms and sloppily kissed her in her mouth
"Good morning mamas , I made you some breakfast go sit down" I told her rubbing her stomach before placing a kiss on it
I went to the kitchen and fixed our plates and a 2 glasses of orange juice
"Awe baby thank you so much" she said kissing me as I sat the food down
"Anything for you mamas"
I turned on the tv and we watched coulda been records and ate our food

After we finished eating, I went to freshen up while Jai cleaned the kitchen. I wrapped my hair up, brushed my teeth again, and threw on something chill but cute gray skims set, gold anklet, and my little Chanel slides. Nothing doing too much, but still that "I'm her" look.
By the time I came out, Jai was sitting on the couch rolling up. "You ready, mamas?" he asked, looking up at me with that grin.
"Yeah, let's go before I change my mind."
He laughed, grabbed his keys and we headed out.
We hit a few spots Nordstrom first, then Neiman's, and this baby boutique I'd been dying to check out. The whole time, Jai was being extra rubbing my stomach, carrying all the bags, acting like we was the only two people in the store.
Every time I picked something up, he'd say, "Get it. Don't even look at the price."
I smiled, shaking my head. "You talk like you rich or somethin'."
He smirked. "Ain't I though?"
I rolled my eyes but couldn't stop smiling. It felt good to see him like this relaxed, happy, really tryna step into that dad role.
We ended up buying all types of stuff diaper bag, newborn shoes, a tiny Burberry onesie Jai swore the baby needed. We was doing too much, but honestly, I didn't care.
After that, we stopped for lunch at this upscale spot downtown. By now it was about 5oclock and I was starving. It was one of them places with glass walls and white tablecloths real grown vibes. I was sipping on a mocktail and scrolling through my phone when Jai got up to go to the restroom.
That's when I noticed some girl eyeing Jai down.
She was looking in his direction, smirking not a friendly way, more like a "remember me?" look. Nothing about her screamed intimidating, but it was clear she wasn't just being polite.
Jai's face shifted for a split second. Not long enough for anyone else to notice, but I caught it. He played it off fast like he was hoping I didn't peep.
I slowly rubbed my stomach, just a little hmph,
He walked back to the table like nothing happened. "You good, mamas?"
"Mhmm," I said slowly, sipping my drink.
In his head, I could tell he was praying I didn't ask. Out of all the places in Atlanta, she had to pop up here? Please don't let Lay start none... that girl don't mean nothin to me.
He reached over, grabbed my hand. "You look too good to be mean muggin right now," he said, trying to switch the vibe.
I smirked, still side eyeing. "You must've seen somethin' funny then."
"Nah, I just seen my baby lookin' fine," he said kissing my hand.
I laughed a little and let it go ..atleast for now. The food came and soon enough we were back to laughing and talking like always.
By the time we left the restaurant, my stomach was full and my mood was better. We rode with the windows down, old R&B playing low, Jai's hand resting on my thigh while he drove. Every now and then he'd glance over at me and smile, and I tried not to blush. I couldn't even lie he had me spoiled.
When we got home, I showered, threw on my bonnet and one of his shirts, and climbed into bed while he was on the game in the living room.
I unlocked my phone and opened the group chat with my girls Tai🤍, Des👅, and Noelle💋.

I smiled at the screen, shaking my head. They always knew how to make me laugh.
A few minutes later, Jai walked in, shirt off, chain glistening, and laid behind me, rubbing my belly.
"You good, mamas?" he asked softly.
"Mhmm," I said, turning to face him. "Just tired."
He kissed my forehead. "Get some rest."
"Mmhhm"I mumbled half-asleep.
I smiled before drifting off, the last thing I felt being his hand resting over our baby. For the first time in a long time, it felt like peace even if I didn't know how long it would last.
