"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'I'M A MAFIA BOSS'?" Mother yelled, throwing her hands out.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit oh shi-

"AND KAMIKO, YOU KILLED PEOPLE? AND YOU LIED ABOUT IT?" She screeched, turning to me.

I winced. "Yes? In my defense, he told me too!" I spoke quickly as I could, pointing at 'Father'.

"Snitches end up in ditches." He mumbled.
She whipped back towards Desmond. "You be quiet. You're up next, Desmond." Her voice was filled with venom.

Not darling? Oh shiiiiit. I'm screwed. I smiled guiltily as though trying to make an excuse out of it. "I'm.... sorry? Please don't kill me?" Again.

She squinted at me and pointed an acussive finger at me. "That wasn't paint on you this morning, was it?"

I sucked my lips into my mouth and looked away. "Oh look at that! The ceiling is made of ceiling!" I whistled innocently

She scoffed. "Why did you kill them? Do you not feel remorse for them?"

I looked at her, my face grown serious and cold. "No. The people I killed were worse than evil. They were rapists and terrorists. I will never regret it."

Her her eyes flew open in shock and she let out a soft "Oh."

I broke eye contact, looking at the floor. "Yeah, 'Oh.'"

An awkward silence hung in the air for a few minutes before Desmond broke it. "Rigggght, well, I've got to get some things set up here, why don't you to go pick your rooms and get them set up?" With that Desmond lef lt the room, pulling out a cellphone.

Five Years Later

"I promise we won't have to move again because of this, Esemer." Desmond said exasperatedly, looking out the limo's window.

"Really?" She said sharply. "Because that's what you said before we had to move to Venice!"

If I don't move, I will become invisible. If I'm invisible they won't drag me into this. Don't drag me-

"Right, Kamiko?"

Damn it. I smiled awkwardly, nodding. Smile and nod, smile and nod. Aggggghhhh!

"How far away are we, Selwyn?"

"You are currently 1 mile away, or 3 minutes." My A.I. announced.

Mother turned to me. "You know, Kamiko, that really is a handy invention of yours."

"Thanks!" I beamed. "It took me all of five seconds to assemble!" Thank you, Tony Stark and that one chick from Sky High. Without you two, I wouldn't have been able to make Selwyn.

Mother sweat dropped.

'Father' took the opportunity to flick on the radio and classical music filled the air.

An invisible tear slipped down my face.

It's so awkward in here. Why did the gods do this to me? Do they hate me?

The car took a right turn, lightly jostling.

"So, are we staying in Japan for a while, or are we just here for the ball?" I pondered, as though I didn't know the answer.

"Just tonight. We'll be going back to Athens by tomorrow morning." Desmond answered, glancing back at me in silent question.

You can't just put music on as a silence filler! It's awkward!
