Tony

I gaped at the two very attractive girls peeling off back down the road away from me. There's not a chance that girl could have possibly built an engine that could out last my own. I mean, come on, I'm a genius who builds mass destruction weapons to save our soldiers in war.

I made my engine perfect and now some random-ass chick with a rich daddy decides to beat me at my own game. What the hell?

I drove home, my mind drifting back to that girl. Emma. Emma Stone. Why does that name sound so familiar? Oh well. She was gorgeous. Not fake, whatsoever, trust me...I'm sadly a professional at telling fakes. It was refreshing being in her presence.

I actually really would like to see her again. I think I want her. No. I know I want her. Emma Stone is mine. I'll run my fingers through her beautiful long blonde hair and look deep into her oak leaf eyes. I need her. Like breathing without air, and I'm dying here. Shit.

I pulled into my garage, got out, and went straight into the kitchen. Pepper sat with the day's paper and a cup of black, steaming, caffeine. She didn't even look up.

"You've got a busy day today." She said and sipped her coffee.

"When don't I, Miss Potts?" I grabbed the pot of coffee and poured myself a cup, then downed it and clapped my hands firmly.

"You have three appointments with-"

"Cancel them."

"You can't-"

"I can, Pepper, and I will. Cancel."

"Then I suppose you aren't going to the party for Adam Stone tonight, then?"

"I-" I paused and she looked up. "Did you say Stone?"

Pepper tilted her head. "Are you okay?

Waving her away with a hand, I continued with furrowed brows. "Did you say Stone, Ms. Potts?"

She shrugged, "Yes, Adam Stone, you're father's family friend and owner of Rolling Stone magazine. He would like you to attend his banquet tonight celebrating his magazine's 50thanniversary. Are you going?"

I nodded firmly, "Yes. I knew I recognized that name, though Stone is such a common name, I knew it."

Pepper looked at me weirdly, "Should I be worried?"

I chuckled, "Sure, but don't waste your time with that...get my tux."

She nodded and rose from her seat when I stopped her, "Pepper, does Adam have a daughter?"

Pepper thought for a moment and nodded once more but gave me a look. I put my hands up in defense.

"All I'm saying is that I knew it, see you later Miss Potts." And with that I had millions of thoughts flying through my brain as I sprinted up to my room to get ready. Tonight is going to be epic.
