Chapter 23

Emma's Pov

I drove home and changed into some jean shorts and a shirt I stole from Tony, I fed Henry and spent a little bit of time with him feeling bad I was leaving him alone for so long. I pulled out my phone and called Tony, who picked up after the first ring "hello beautiful" I smiled "hey I have a question for you" I said watching Henry "shoot" he said but I could her him working on something in the background "is it ok if I bring Henry with me? I feel bad leaving him alone since Andy is busy and daddy is out of town" I asked him. It got quiet and I frowned "yeah you can bring him with you" I smiled and let out a breath "thank you Tony" I heard him laugh softly making my smile widen slightly "anything for you love... how much longer till you get here?" he asked me. I got Henry's travel cadge and packed him some food "not long Henry and I are about to leave so I'll be there very soon. I love you and see you soon" I told him as I put Henry in the cadge and walked out the door and locked it. It took me about fifteen minutes to get to his house, I got out grabbing Henry turning around to see Tony waiting for me at the door "there she is!" he smiled and took Henry from me. We got Henry situated after that he grabbed my hand and pulled me down to his lab, But he stopped in the living room and looked at me "Tony you ok?" I asked him watching him closely. He smiled and nodded "I'm always ok when you around" he said pulling me closer to him, he wrapped an arm around my waist and the other hand on my cheek stroking it softly making me close my eyes and lean into his hand. I slowly opened my eyes and smiled at him, He leaned down and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling myself closer as his hand tangled in my hair, as the arm around my waist tightened and bring me closer leaving no pace between us. I don't know how long we kissed but we pulled apart and he sighed happily before we walked into his lab "what I'm about to show you is a mark two from how I got away from the men holding me captive over seas...I've been working on this since I've gotten back" he explained to me making me nod "so it's a type of weapon?" I asked as he opened the door. I watched as the floor opened, A hot rod red and gold suit came up making me gasp "it could be but that's why its going to stay in my hands so it cant be used as a weapon" he told me making me nod slowly as I walked over to it touching it lightly walking around it "your going to use it to destroy the weapons that are being sold over seas?" I asked him watching him nod "yes" he said straight forward. I sighed and closing my eyes taking a deep breath "please just be careful... I don't really like this but I can see that you feel like you need to do this so I'll wait here for you" I said looking at the suit again, and the hole in its chest for his arc reactor.

Tony's pov

I watched Emma walk around it slowly and touch it lightly before turning to me "your going to use this to destroy the weapons that are being od over seas?" she asked me, watching me closely "yes" I watched her closer her eyes and take a deep breath. she opened her eyes and looked at me softly "please just be careful... I don't really like this but I can see that you feel like you need to do this so I'll wait here for you" she told me looking at the suit again. I couldn't help but smile at her walking over to her I wrapped my arms around he waist and brought her against my chest "thank you Emma" I whispered in her ear making her smile slightly. She turned to look at me "when are you going?" I couldn't help but grin as u brought her closer to me "tomorrow morning giving me a few hours to lose with you" I told her as I picked her up over my shoulder making her laugh "Tony!" she cried as I walked out of the lab and up stairs making Pepper and Obadiah look at us confused "everything ok?" I heard Pepper ask making me turn around to see her grinning face "everything is great! just have to break her back in" I said making Pepper blush "Tony Edward Stark! make comment like that again and you will have a very lonely next few.. day!" she hesitated at the end making me laugh putting her down in front of me as Pepper giggled at us and I was ignoring Obadiah ever since I found out he was the one who locked me out I'll have been on guard around him "ok I'm sorry" I held my hand up in surrender and Emma started up the steps as I watched her until she was out of sight "you coming Tony?" she called down making me run up the stairs as she got in to my room, I slipped in and closed the door behind me.
