God she was beautiful. Perfect height, perfect shape, her dark auburn hair always tied back and she always kept her personal phone by her side on the desk as she worked but the work phone was normally inside her desk. She did reply to messages from friends, co-workers and family throughout the day as she lived in D.C alone so I allowed it as long as I didn't hear some obnoxious ringtone or audio from her phone.

I understood why she took the job in the first place as she wanted to get away from Arizona and get away from her mother as she spoke not so fondly about her which made me upset as I was close to my own mother but hardly saw her thanks to my work as they lived in the South but there was another reason of Anna moving so far it was so that her ex fiancé who was after her left her alone as she told me about him after an incident.

We caught that S.O.B one day standing around the Shadow Company offices doing nothing but he moved into the parking garage and was tampering with her beautiful silver Mercedes that her father gave her before she moved to D.C which as usual was parked next to my black SUV.

She had exquisite tastes in everything from the clothes she wore, to her accessories she wore to work even when it came to redecorating my dull office but she stayed humble always. Another reason why I hired her was because she understood my accent so quickly and I was impressed by her resume which stated she spoke 7 languages fluently. I placed her on trial bases first for the first 3 months then permanently hired her for good, after I saw how she fared on the field with the boys.

She was one tough cookie and always stood her ground with the boys, whom she quickly made friends with. She never backed down and even fought some of them in hand to hand sparring I conducted one day on the field. I never knew that she knew kickboxing but that was also the day I saw her in her gym clothes and she looked stunning.

Her hair was tied back in a ponytail and her tight black gym clothes fit snug on her body. It looked like a second skin on her. She fought one of my men perfectly and I knew I made the right choice with her. I never saw her drink alcohol and I did ask her about it, she just told me off due to her taking care of her health she never touched any hard liquor besides the occasional red wine with her dinner which I she had mentioned in passing once.

She was never shy around me, she wore decent clothes that showed off her body and even when we were on the field I kept her close to me as I didn't want any of the boys to disrespect her. She bunked with me at all times. She always wore a band tee shirt and shorts to bed. She had a stuffed cat that followed her everywhere in her suitcase. When I asked her why she had it she said it was for security and comfort. I knew she felt lonely at night, that's why she held that stuffy while she slept.

She always smelt the same every time we had our lunches in my office but I never pinpointed her perfume and I enjoyed the smell of it. She made me laugh and we got along great, "weekend's coming up, doing anything exciting?" I asked her, she shook her head, "Nah, probably will stay in or visit some museum" she paused as she sipped the energy drink then placed the can on the table, "what about you?" she asked her, "Oh nothing at all" and before I could say anything else she said, "really? You're not going fishing or something outdoorsy with someone from Shadow or your family?" and I laughed then shook my head, "Nah, not this weekend" and she shrugged as she grabbed her phone and mindlessly scrolled it.

I breathed out then said to her bravely, "hey how about I take you around?" and she looked at me dumbfounded, "are you for real, Graves?" she asked and I nodded, "yea, I mean I've lived here for quite sometime and I know D.C pretty well" and she looked at me hesitant, "don't worry, its not against the rules" I added as I knew the company rules pretty well as me and my partners wrote down the fucking rules when we established this company. She nodded and smiled, "sure, plan a fun weekend for me Graves'' she said and I nodded then winked, "You got it, Anna"

Eventually lunch was done and we went back to our work desks, before I could even end my day she reminded me of a meeting I had with General Shepard which was in our conference room. I looked at her then said, "when is it?" and she looked at her laptop, "Now" she said and I cursed, "I forgot didn't I?" and she nodded, "yup" I cursed out loud again and she didn't even bat an eye but it made her smirk. She hardly smiled so whenever she smirked or even gave me a smile, I was in heaven.
