THE NEXT DAY
She woke up later than usual, she wanted to sleep in and she thought back what Graves told her. She can't be with someone who actively hates Russians on the field. She was proud of her mother's heritage and home land, heck she's been there a few times to meet her relatives. She enjoyed her time there in Moscow even thought about moving there if she ever gets a job. She did like him as well but she always reminded herself that he is her boss. She was replaceable at her job and he might lose his life in the next mission or upcoming missions which she knew it would happen if its a risky mission. She sighed then rolled out of bed and started her day which was at 11am.
She took a long shower, then wore her comfy clothes and decided to call her mother as she had her brunch which was some sandwiches and a bottle of cola, "Privet mama" she said as soon as she heard her mother say, "hello", "Anna, how are you?" asked her mother and Anna switched to speaking in Russian with her mother about her work which she never went into detail as her parents knew she signed an NDA which they respected and her mother spoke about her father and her work going on great, "did papa get his check up?" Anna asked and her mother said, "We decided to take a trip to London and see what your brother can do" and Anna sighed as her older brother was based out of London and he worked as a surgeon.
Anna just kept silent then her mother asked her in English, "is everything alright, my sweet girl?" and Anna replied, "yea everything's fine, mama" and her mother sternly asked in Russian, "what is wrong?" so Anna told her about Graves and what he had said but all her mother said, "Let the tides take you and you just follow the waves" which Anna shook her head then said, "mama, you don't make sense" and her mother said, "Anna, if its meant to be then it is or else take it as a fling with your boss and move forward, ya?" and Anna nodded while giggling as her mother always wanted her to have fun in her life and not take things seriously unless she finds a guy her mother actually liked, "da mama, da"
Pretty soon they said their goodbyes and Anna hung up the phone. She placed her phone on charge and just turned on a relaxing game on her switch to play and relax.
But as she did, she heard a knock on her door. "Anna!" yelped someone outside and she paused her game and put the console down on her coffee table. She went up to the door and opened it, "Hey Will, whatcha doing here?" she asked him, "me and the others are gonna go down to the bar across the street tonight to celebrate" he said to her as he smiled, "what's the occasion?" she asked him as she crossed her arms, "Matt got engaged" he said and the cute but nerdy tech guy who came with them on missions popped up behind Will, "hey! Congratulations!" she said and hugged him.
"Please tell me you don't have to ask permission from Graves to come with us" asked Matt, she shook her head, "hell no! What time are you all going down to the lobby?" she asked and Rook replied, "around 7" and she said, "okay see you soon!" they fist bumped her then she shut her door. She locked it and smirked, "guess I'm gonna wear my sexy tight black dress then" she thought and went back to her game.
