Part 17 - Anna POV

She took a deep breath and from where she was hiding which was behind a few large steel crates she took aim and fired towards the rebel army. Her aim wasn't good but she hit the person and she saw that person was a teenager. She gasped and felt bad for what she did, then she saw the Russian army men from the morning and saw them kill the teenagers in front of her.

Anna had tears welling up her eyes as she never wanted to hurt anyone who looked as if they were her nieces and nephews age. The large muscular man came up to her and spoke to her in Russian, "are you okay?" she stood up and he loomed over her but he didn't intimidate her, "How could you kill a child!?" she yelped and he looked at her annoyed, "Listen Anomaly, that child is a terrorist now either with us and your company or you're against us", and she just looked at him angrily and walked to Graves as the large man came up behind her.

Pretty soon the fire fight was over and as they stripped the other bodies for weapons and collected their dead company men, Anna just acted as translator for Graves, "He said thank you for helping and he will make sure no one forget this" and the man just nodded and left as he said, "thank you"

Anna just stared at the scene in front of her and she was shaking like a leaf as she handed the gun back to Graves, he holstered it and he saw her pale and shaking, "You alright sweetheart?" he asked her and she shook her head, "no" and she started crying.

This was the first time she started crying in front of him after a firefight. She had been in numerous firefights while she worked with Shadow Company but this took everything out of her as she saw a teenager shot mercilessly. She fell into his arms and he hugged her tight, "There, there" he said as she felt his hand go up and down her back. She sobbed uncontrollably in his arms and he felt safe, secure like he was taking all her fears and worries away from her.
