"I'm kind of regretting saying we will join the other girls at The Blue Room." Amelia said the next day during breakfast, "I just wanted to stick it to Jameson."

"I'm sure we'll have fun." Leighton said, "Evelyn wasn't half bad.

"Johanna was actually really sweet." I said, Surprisingly."

"Colette was wonderful!" Bridgette exclaimed, "She's friendly, smart, and I have no fucking idea why she's not here instead of St. Augustine."'

"Sounds like you two hit it off." I said, "I'm sure she will tell you. I wonder the same about Johanna."

"I sure don't wonder the same about Jameson." Amelia said, with an eye roll.

"I'm on the fence about Evelyn." Leighton said, "I have a feeling that she likes to party a little too hard."

"We'll be able to see tonight." Bridgette said, "Honestly, being able to drink and wind down after our first week of classes sounds nice."

The four of us decided to get ready together after classes were over, and we ate dinner.

We went into the bathroom, and each stood at a sink. There were 6 others, so we knew we would be okay taking up 4.

"Bridgette, you look stunning." I said to her. She was putting on some wine-colored lipstick. Her dress had a very vintage pin-up look, it was black with white polka dots, and the top was a halter style- showing off her chest.

Don't look, Flora. Don't look.

"Thanks, Flora." Bridgette smiled at me, "So do you. All four of us do!"

"I wouldn't go as far as to say I look gorgeous, but this will do." Amelia said, putting on some nude lipgloss. She had on a very pretty red sundress that had a floral print.

"No, you do, Amelia." Leighton said. She had on a pair of tight black jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt.

I had decided to wear a black sundress that cinched in at my waist. I wanted to keep it simple. I had lightly curled my hair at the ends, and wore some more makeup than usual.

"I'd say all of you look quite stunning."

We all turned around to Khai walking into the bathroom, toward us.

I met her gaze, and she looked right at me.

"Especially you, Flora." she said- and then she walked right past us to the showers.

Bridgette turned to me wide-eyed, and mouthed, "What was that?"

I shrugged, also wide-eyed.

That was bold as hell.

I kind of like it.

The Blue Room was about a 10-minute walk from Naples Prep and around 15 minutes from St. Augustine, in opposite directions.

As the four of us started walking to the bar, Leighton asked "Have any of you ever been to The Blue Room? I've never been to a bar before."

"I have!" Bridgette said, "It's a lot of fun. Hence the name, the bar has a bunch of really cool blue lights, all different shades."

"Sounds very cool!" Amelia said, "I'm quite excited. I've only been to a bar once, this summer. I wound up making out with this guy, but he tasted like the grossest, cheapest beer you could imagine. I didn't let him go past kissing."

I couldn't help but laugh- and so did Bridgette and Leighton.

"You're ridiculous, Amelia." Leighton laughed.
