Two weeks later, the team was just chilling at the library. This was an old library they fixed up and turned into their Headquarters of Evil. They really didn’t have any big plans for the week. They just pulled off one of the biggest heists ever.

Maigent was out in the forest, staring at a river. Carmen walked up behind her with a chicken wing in her hand… or was it?

“Why are you out here?” Maigent asked.

“You looked lonely.”

“Well, I’m not, please leave.”

“Okay!” Carmen began to skip back to the library, when she stopped. She turned around and looked at Maigent again.

“Maigent?”

“What?”

“Do you remember your parents?”

Little did Carmen know that’s all that Maigent does. Is think about her parents. She barely knew them, and by the time one of her parents came to get her back, the heroes killed him.

“No…” Maigent responded.

“Oh… okay.” The reason Carmen asked her that, was because she too was taken away from her parents at a young age. Specifically her whole family.

Carmen walked back to the library. Maigent ripped a tree from the ground and tossed it in the air, because she was angry. Angry at the world… angry at the universe.

Back at the library, Marcus was sitting down at a table looking at a map. There was a specific spot on that map that Marcus was very interested in. He had a laptop on the table, with some information on there.

“You look like a nerd over there, Marcus.” Bobby said, playing video games with Jacob.

“Yeah….” Marcus was too zoned to joke with Bobby.

“Dang bro, what’s on that computer that got you so hooked?”

“You already know…” Mari laughed.

“Pause.” Jacob replied.

“Actually, I just found something out. It has to do with us. I don’t think we’re just teenagers with powers with the mentalities of evilness.” Marcus explained.

“What are you saying?”

“I’m saying, since the walking of dinosaurs, there’s been a species. A superpowered species of evil. And they were all teenagers. We just happen to be an evolving generation of them.”

“And where’d you get this information from?” asked Mari.

“Yeah, buddy, what’s the source?” Bobby added.

“Come here and I’ll show you all.”

Mari and the rest sat down by Marcus. They looked at the website that was on the laptop.

“Wow….” said Mari.

“See. There’s rumors that they aren’t even dead. That they have been hiding here.” Marcus pointed at a piece of ice land above Canada.

“There?” Jacob questioned.

“Yeah. Some explorers stated that there’s a colony under the Earth and that they’ve been there, evolving within the Earth’s core. There have even been sightings of them in North Canada.”

“So then how are WE here.”

“Because it isn’t through direct birth. There’s a gene inside of us. A gene that gives us powers and automatically makes us evil.”

“So every villain has that gene?”

“No, but WE do. I’ve looked at these old files back from Saltovia Labs from when he had us captive there in these cocoons. And look at this. See that shape within the chromosomes. We all have that same shape, I believe that’s the gene that gives us powers.”

They all looked at the image. They were all shocked. Bobby was just shaking his head eating hot chips.

“So, since everyone is coming up with theories, can I come up with one?” Bobby said.

“Ain’t theories, but okay, sure.” Marcus implied.

“Okay, so, you know how you said Dr. Saltovia had us captive and that we all share this one gene. Well, since we all share the same gene and if we’re as powerful as they say we are, well, I don’t think Saltovia was using us to make us his, but to duplicate our genes and create his own versions of us.”

Everyone looked at Bobby. They didn’t look shocked, but more as if they already knew that.

“You just figured that out?” said Mari.

“Wait… y’all already thought of this theory?”

“It isn’t a theory. It’s a whole d*mn fact.” Jacob added.

“Well, then how come nobody told me?”

“We thought you’d already knew that!!” Everyone yelled.

“No. Man, y’all do me dirty.”

“I don’t do you dirty.” said Carmen, doing a backflip onto the couch.

“Why is it so cold?” Mary walked in with a blanket around her.

“We're literally in Seattle in winter. You do the math.” said Marcus.

Maigent walked into the building. She sat down on the couch with her feet kicked up on the table. Marcus looked at Maigent. She could feel him looking at her, so she placed a pillow on the side of her to block Marcus’ face.

“Hey Madison.” Marcus said, waving at Maigent.

“It’s Maigent, godd*mmit.”

“You good, Maigent?” asked Mari, sitting next to her.

“Yeah…”

“Well, if you guys wanna, let’s get ready to bring back our family.” Marcus stood up on top of the coffee table. The others agreed and clapped their hands.

“Marcus!” Maigent yelled.

“Hm?”

“You’re on my leg!”

“Oops, my fault.”
