Prime Explorational Grounds, 2019
Steve was walking down the hallways of P.E.G. with Prime’s Chief General, Howard Leegan. Steve is a part of the new project that Prime has in store. They’ve found a way where they enter different dimensions and universes without having to travel through space or portals. Instead it’s a tube. The tube could take them anywhere through space and time. Steve was going to be the first to test it out.
“So, Steve, how excited are you?” Asked Howard.
“Excitement is for a child, CG, but I’m very honored nonetheless.” Steve joked.
“Hah, anything’s for anyone. Just like this project. Imagine this being successful I’d say two decades for-heck even one, maybe five years-we’ll soon start to see children taking these things for joy rides.”
“No disrespect, Leegan, but do you really want to have this for free use for the public. People’s motives have gone radical nowadays, let one wrong person use this thing, then you could say goodbye to your wonderful life. I’d say this shall only be used for government purposes and only organizations with the proper intentions.”
“I see what you’re coming from, but y’know, this machine isn’t really Prime ‘type’, which is why if this test goes successful, I’m selling the d*mn thing.”
“What? And who’re going to sell this too?”
“Saltovia Corps. We're very interested.”
“Pfft… you’d be better off letting that grump, John Dusk buy it. Heck, let’em get it for free.”
“He already has land on Mars.”
“Okay, and? Saltovia has locations on every country on the godd*mn planet. Just keep it, let this be for Prime.”
“Ehh… Prime is a militia organization, not an industrial company.”
“Well, just think about it, before you go selling this masterpiece off.”
They entered the Mega Room, where the IDT (Interdimensional Tube) was located. Steve got into the IDT suit and entered the rollercoaster looking cart. The door of the IDT opened up and inside of it looked like a combined joint of universes milkshakes into a void of energy.
“Godd*mn, that’s one hell of a sight right there!” Steve said, loudly due to the noises coming from the machine.
“Yep, it sure is! Say, I’mma be right up there, I should be able to keep in contact with you from there. If you don’t hear anything don’t worry, that just means the signal’s not yet strong enough!”
“Okay!”
“Also, if you feel like you’ve seen enough or something doesn’t feel right, hop back into the cart and press the button that reads ‘Revert!’”
“Gotcha!”
“Alright then, let’s do this! Godspeed, Steve!”
“Godspeed!”
Howard ran up to the command booth. Steve strapped in tight and got ready to to be launched into a whole nother world. Steve placed on the helmet and stared into the void. The men in the command booth counted down to three for Steve. Once they’d hit three, he boosted so fast into the tube.
Looking at the speedometer, it was estimated that he had to be going at least 9,510,001 million times the speed of light. He’d never thought he could have gone that fast ever. Even as he was going this fast he was able to get glimpses at different dimensions all over, that mankind couldn’t even reach until now.
Some seconds later, he entered a dimension. He got out of the cart to take a look around. This place was quite different from Earth. There was a ground, it looked like sand, except it had a silverish-purple color to it. The sky was purple too, and the clouds glowed like lights. There was no sight of trees or any plant form of that matter. But there was water. It was black, pitch black. For a place already unusual for him, there was one particular thing that was unusual for him the most. A lightning bolt, a green one, struck the ground, but it didn’t move or disappear. It just stayed there. He was curious about it. He looked deep into the lightning bolt, it was like there was a whole other universe inside of it.
So attached to it he couldn’t resist not touching it. He reached his hand for the lightning bolt and when he touched it, all its electricity went through his body. It was a weird feeling, it didn’t feel like pain, but more of empowerment. Some seconds later, the lightning bolt disappeared. Steve’s body felt different. He stood up and he felt like a new man. He looked around searching for the cart, when he saw an orange stone. Again, his curiosity took over. He walked towards the stone to have a closer look. This stone seemed different. Something in his head was telling him to take the stone. He grabbed the stone and placed it in his pockets, before leaving out of the strange empty dimension.
Days after, Steve found out that the lightning bolt gifted him with powers and that stone can be used to build weapons that can be used to fight superhumans. So Steve decided to do just that, to be the ultimate justice. Defeating any threat that stands in the way of good.
