#TWOT8
"So, any progress?" tanong ni Daniella isang araw habang kumakain kami ng lunch naming magkakaibigan.
I gave her a quick look before bringing back my attention to my food.
"Still in square one," I answered without glancing at her.
I heard Daniella chuckle mockingly which made my forehead furrowed. Who the hell is she making fun of me when all of this stupidity was her idea in the first place? Who the hell is she mocking me when all she did was hide from my beauty? No one! She's no one compared to me!
I tried calming myself as I slowly chewed my food. If strangling someone's neck isn't a crime, kanina pa siguro nagkahiwalay ang ulo ni Daniella sa kanyang katawan. Wala siyang karapatan para kutyain ako lalo na't mas nakakaangat ako kumpara sa kanya.
"I didn't know your charm would fade this early than I expected, Fleur," Daniella commented again, the sarcasm was too evident in her voice.
"Fade?" I burst out laughing. "You must be going blind, Daniella, that you're seeing things that aren't even real." I continued between my laughter.
"Really? I'm sure I'm seeing things clearly," she further pointed out, a sarcastic smile on its way to her lips.
"Really? Or it's your insecure ass again running through your brain right now," I fired back, not holding back my sweet smile.
Her sarcastic smile suddenly disappeared and it was replaced by a scorching glare. And it was my cue to smile even more, nangungutya. Who the hell does she think she is?! Being part of my circle doesn't mean that she already has the privilege to question my beauty. Wala siyang karapatan para punain ang mga bagay na kaya ko namang gawin!
I took a deep breath as I tried calming myself again. Good thing most of the students here at Le Rêveur University think that our friendship is that ideal, because if not, I might have hurled harsh words at her and treated her like how I treated those scholars. I don't care if her status was also in the row of the stairs as mine. If she somehow gets on my nerves, pagti-tripan ko pa rin siya.
"Come on, Fleur, I know that you are also doubting yourself at this moment. I mean, who wouldn't, right? Lalo na't sanay ka na madali mo lang nakukuha ang mga bagay-bagay na gusto mong makuha."
"Are we really having this conversation, Daniella?" I asked seriously. "And are you trying to provoke my pride? If yes, wow, what a good performance you have there!" I sarcastically clapped my hands while also showing her my sarcastic proud smile.
"I'm not, though? I'm just pointing out something that's already obvious." She took a sip of her drink with her annoying smug look.
I gracefully wiped my lips with a tissue before leaning my back on my chair. Maarte kong pinag-krus ang aking mahahabang legs at mga braso sa aking dibdib. I then gave Daniella the coldest stare I could ever give.
"Daniella." Her name slipped through my mouth like it's something not worth it to utter. "It seems to me that you've already forgotten your position in this friendship of ours," I continued, my voice was cold and sharp, enough for her to feel anxious because of my presence.
Hindi nagsalita ang babae. Instead, she fought back at the dagger-like stares I'd been throwing at her.
One thing about Daniella that truly pisses me off is that she knows her way on how to get on my nerves. Unlike the other two girls, she was the only one who had the guts to question my charm, especially to boys. And I hate it. I hate how she can easily provoke me with her words. I hate how she can sometimes manipulate me just by a single word.
