The merle Golden Doodle sighed to herself as she followed Cosmo. People didn't seem to mind the second dog, so they minded their own business. Eventually, they arrived to ths headquarters for the Guardians. Cosmo entered, yet Lia stayed at the door.
"Hm?" Cosmo licked her lips as she turned, noticing the pup didn't follow her. "Come, come! Why did you stop?" *The Golden Retriever mix cocked her head to the side, awaiting a response.
Lia, of course- remained quiet- feeling a sense of unease in this place; and with Cosmo too. Why was she so friendly? It was weird to her. Cosmo soon made her way over to Lia, sitting down as she spoke.
"You miss Motherland, don't you?" She stared at Lia, soon staring up. Although she had made new friends on Knowhere, she couldn't help but wonder what things could've been like if her ship stayed in orbit.
"It's okay though, you will have new friends! Well- Rocket will warm up to you.. but Kraglin will like you! Just dont let him call you a bad dog .. I hate being a bad dog." A growl escaped Cosmo's maw as she said that. Lia made a mental note to never cross the the Retriver mix.
"Da!" Cosmo nudged Lia, the two standing up. "- And if anyone gives you trouble, let me know! I'll take care of them!" Cosmo lowered her head, staring at Lia for moment. The pup found she was not on the ground anymore, but a few inches off it. She looked down, then at Cosmo. This must be the 'powers' she talked about earlier.
"You .. can move things with your mind?" Lia tilted her head curiously as Cosmo placed the pup over her back.
"Da! Tis called Telekenesis apparently! It's cause i was in space for a long time!" Her tail wagged, glad Lia felt comfortable to ask questions.
".. Will I ever get powers, like you?"
"Hm .." Cosmo thought for a moment, it was possible. But Lia was still young, only time would tell. She decided to change the subject.
"Come! You must be hungry, yes? I am! I'll show you to Kraglin and tell him i'm keeping you!" Cosmo entered the base, tail wagging as she walked with a stride. Very proud of herself for making a new friend.
