The Adventures of Cosmo, Lia & Crew

Questions & Concern

It had been a few weeks since Lia joined the crew, she wasn't an official member of the Guardians yet- since she had no use to the team as of right now. She and Cosmo exited the entrance to their base on Knowhere. Cosmo decided she wanted to show her around Knowhere a bit, and to get to know her better. She didn't want to pry yet about how she ended up in space, yet. All she knew for now is that Lia was from Russia, just llike her.- Rocket thought a walk would do them both some good .. mainly to get them out of his fur for a few hours. From dealing with the constant barking, to Cosmo being occupied dealing with Lia; he needed a break from the chaos.

"So, it's called 'telekenisis? What's the purpose?" Lia asked, looking up at the Retriver mix curiously.

"Da! There isn't really any purpose .. I think? I can just move things around with a simple thought! One of the side effects of being in space for too long .." Cosmo licked her lips as the two continued to wander the streets.

"I see .." The merle pup paused, soon asking another question. Looking down at the ground. "-Do you think i have powers too? Or will get them ..?"

Cosmo paused, turning her head to look down at Lia. She wasn't sure how to answer - as it was a 50/50 chance .. yet Lia's eyes pierced her- as if she wanted a hopeful answer. "Hmm .. why do you want powers? Is something troubling you?"

Lia laughed, soon running under Cosmo's legs. "N-Nothing is troubling me! I just thought maybe I can be useful to the team .. maybe tag along on a mission eventually!"

Cosmo chuckled, raising a paw to playfully rub Lia's head.* "You are useful, your time to assist us will come, yes? And I'll talk to Rocket to see if we can bring you along some time." Cosmo lowered her head to nudge Lia affectionately, causing the pup to playfully tug on one of her ears. She had grown fond of this little Goldendoodle, and wanted to be a good role model to her.

"Come, let's head back- yes?" The Retriver mix asked as Lia's tail wagged and gave her a nod, running ahead as Cosmo followed not so far behind. Having to look after Lia gave Cosmo a more mature demeanor, but she was still playful at certain times.

Later on, Cosmo went to find Rocket. She wanted to bring up Lia's request to tag along on a mission in the near future. Rocket stared at Cosmo in annoyance and concern as the two argued. And of course- kids being kids .. Lia and Phyla were listening in behind the corner.

"But-" Cosmo whined.

"No." Rocket's ears flickered as he stared at Cosmo.

"Captain, please! One mission!" She begged.

".. Cosmo, it's too dangerous." He pressed his hand against the bridge of his snout.

"She will stay on the ship, yes? I will also train her! Give her a chance .. yes?" Cosmo's tail wagged, ears perked as she awaited an answer.

Rocket stared at her, his expression was unreadable. He sighed, mumbling as he pointed at her, a finger touching Cosmo's uniform."- She stays on the ship. If anything happens to her, it's on your tail. Got it?"

With that, Cosmo barked with joy. "Yes, yes! You got it Captain!"
