❤︎,
RIKIAWW, YOU WANT A KISS, DON'T YOU?
"That was a cheap shot, y/n!" the boy called from over the computer, pointing the finger at you. You can only shrug before taking a sip of your soda. "Is it my fault you're bad at this game, Riki? No. No, it isn't." If looks could kill, you would be buried 30 feet underground. Riki's glare never faltered as he clenched his fists in mock frustration.
"Keep staring all you want. You're still a loser at the end of the day," you teased, taking a bite out of your ramen. Riki rolled his eyes, looking down at his computer to see your character wiggling over his character's dead body before walking away. You smiled as you continued to do your 'tasks' as normal and be the good little crewmate that you are.
"Someone had to have seen you kill me." You shook your head looking up at him from the screen as the other players had begun to vote for who they thought should be ejected from the spaceship. "Oh please, Riki. You're just a sore loser because you can't handle a little friendly competition." You retorted, a playful grin on your face.
Riki crossed his arms and huffed, clearly, not willing to back down. "Just you wait until the next round. I'll make sure to teach you a lesson you won't forget."
As the votes started pouring in from the other players, you maintain a compose demeanor. "Feel free to try, Riki. But remember, revenge is a dish best served cold."
The virtual votes were tallied, and your character was declared innocent by the group. Riki's character, however, was left to float around, as a ghost trying to complete his tasks. The round onward seemed like forever as Riki watched, not even doing his tasks, as a way to get revenge on the other crewmates for not avenging him.
"They have to be stupid, right? How did they not noticed that whenever someone dies that you are the last one around the body almost every time?" He muttered, frustration evident in his voice. You couldn't help but chuckle at his annoyance.
"Well, Riki, I guess they are just trying to survive and too busy to pay attention to the subtle details." You replied, a mischievous glint in your eyes. "And you know what they say, the best tricks are the ones that are right under your nose."
Riki's frown deepened, but he couldn't help but crack a small smile. "You're annoying, you know that?"
"What I'm getting from this conversation is that you want to kiss me," You quipped, raising an eyebrow playfully. "But hey, I can't blame you for being attracted to someone with such impeccable gaming skills." Riki rolled his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. His eyes found yours as he leaned over the computer, a playful glint in his eyes. "If you wanted a kiss, why didn't you just say so?" He teased.
His response caught you off guard, your eyes finding his not noticing as someone had caught you killing in the game until you heard the urgent sound of an emergency meeting being called. The other crew mates gathered to discuss the situation, and you found yourself in the spotlight. It didn't take long for the accusations and votes to roll in. And just like that, your crewmate was ejected from the spaceship, leaving you to feel a mix of surprise and amusement at how quickly the tables have turned.
Standing with a huff, you pointed a finger at Riki. Upon his face was a smirk and a triumphant glint in his eyes. 'You did that on purpose,' Riki's grin only widened as he took a seat back in his chair, enjoying the satisfaction of having turned the tables. "Aww don't be sad. you want a kiss to make you feel better?" Riki teased chuckling.
Leaning over the computer, just as he had been doing, you smirked, 'I mean if you're offering.' Riki halted, his laughter dying down and his eyes widen in surprise. He hadn't actually expected you to say what you had said. "Surprised? I bet you are. What can I say? I'm full of surprises." Riki's cheeks flushed as he tried to think of something to say but the way you smile at him was getting to him. "So pucker up buttercup or are you going to leave me hangin'?"
Riki's cheeks flushed as he leaned in as you rolled your eyes, closing the distance. Your lips met in a brief kiss but it didn't seem like that. After what felt like an eternity, you pulled away, your eyes immediately falling onto Riki. 'Aww, look how cute you look, all flushed and pink.'" You teased pinching his cheek. He slapped your hand away as he mumbled something underneath his breath. Pushing his head away from yours with a hand on his forehead, you laughed, "There, happy now pretty boy?" Riki flushed taking a seat back in his chair.
You laughed again, turning to pick up your ramen from the table and eating the noodles. 'Now, let's get back to the game. I'm ready to beat you again.' Riki just nodded not saying anything as you finished your ramen and threw it in the trash before sitting back down in front of your computer."
You noticed that the game was paused and Riki was staring at you. You raised an eyebrow at him, and he shook his head. 'What? You want another kiss or something?' Riki's face reddened again as he shook his head, 'No. I-I was thinking...'" He trailed off somewhat lost in thought. "Aww, you're stuttering. Thinking about what?" You questioned slightly amused by the whole thing. Riki shook his head, "Maybe...we can go on a real date sometime? I mean...if you want to, of course?" Your eyes widened, slightly taken aback by the proposal.
As much as you tried to think of it as nothing but a little hangout, the thought of a date with Riki sounded kind of fun. A small smile appeared on your face as you nodded, "Ok."
Riki nodded as well, a smile appearing on his face as well. 'Okay, cool, I'll text you later about it then.' You nodded, 'Alright.' You two looked at each other awkwardly, not sure what to do, before you turned back to the computer, a grin on your face."
"Are we going to finish this round or what?" Riki grinned as he turned to the screen. "Oh, it's on. Prepare to have your butt kicked, y/n." You scoffed. "Ha. As if I'll allow that to happen, Riki." With that, the two of you fell into comfortable silence, the only sounds being the clicking of keys and the occasional shout of frustration. As the hours went by, you found yourself enjoying the game more and more. The thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of outwitting your opponents kept you on your toes. And best of all, the company wasn't half bad either.
