ARCADE + PACMAN EVERYONE'S DREAM
(based off 3:25 PM imagine)

Sighing deeply you stared out the window. People would past by the window with a look of hesitation as they glanced up at the building. Wondering if the arcade would even be worth their time. You couldn't blame them. Ever since summer had ended, the arcade seemed to have lost its vibrant energy. The days grew shorter, and the once-bustling place now felt eerily quiet and abandoned. Besides the two of you, of course.

Sighing, you looked over toward Jay, who was cleaning the vintage pinball machines in an organized manner. The soft, rhythmic clinking of his tools against the metal seemed to punctuate the silence that hung in the air. Feeling your eyes on him, Jay glanced up and offered you a smile, something that had usually brought a smile to your face as well, but today, even that gesture couldn't dispel the melancholy that had settled in your heart. You managed a half-hearted smile in return, appreciating Jay's attempt to lift your spirits.

"Can I just go play Pac-Man? No one is even here so why do I have to be stuck here behind the counter?" You questioned as a pout formed on your lips. Jay rolled his eyes shaking his head. "If you go play then who's going to handle things at the counter. Not me because I'm actually doing my job."

Sighing again but louder you muttered, almost inaudibly, "You suck. You know that, right?" You plopped down on the counter as Jay chuckled softly at your remark, his eyes still fixed on the pinball machine he was cleaning. "Yeah, yeah, I know I'm the worst," he replied playfully, his tone light. "But you've got to admit, it's not as bad as it seems. We've had slow days before and managed to turn things around."

You sighed, your fingers tapping absentmindedly on the counter. "I guess...but it's so boring. Entertain me, would you?" Jay leaned back, resting against the pinball machine. His arms crossed over his chest as he tilted his head to look at you, a smirk playing on his lips.

Shaking his head slightly, Jay spoke, "How about you actually do your job? Clean, stock the prize counters, just do something." Rolling his eyes he went back to cleaning. You pouted leaning back against the counter and glancing around the arcade, your fingers still tapping restlessly on the counter. "My boyfriend is so mean. First, he denies me my right to play my favorite game and now he wants me to clean. Lord take me now!"

You let out an overly dramatic sigh, earning a chuckle from Jay. "Oh come on," he said, feigning offense, "I'm not that bad, am I?" You shot him a playful glare, clearly enjoying the banter. "Well, you're lucky you're cute when you're being bossy," you retorted, a mischievous grin forming on your lips. Turning your head to the side, you pretended to ponder something. "But I suppose I can manage to do a little cleaning... if only to appease the arcade gods."
