Craig left the room to let Gemini rest. The moment the door closed, he covered his face entirely.
"I just kissed her...again...oh my word..." He muttered to himself.
He looked around and saw no one.

He was confused at first then remembered they were in a different sector.
Meaning the doctors will come up once in a while.
He overheard talking in the pantry beside.

Though he knew he shouldn't eavesdrop, he did it anyways.
"What are we going to do about this. If she doesn't get well soon, how do we explain it to the neighbors."

The father was silent. "Dear, we should not disturb her or force her to go to school.
Let her rest for now." Her father insisted.
"Ugh, fine. But if the neighbors ask about anything, you answer."

The father left and did not notice Craig behind the wall as he walked away. The mother immediately grabbed her phone and called someone. Craig was about to leave.

"Brian, I need your help. Do you have anymore of the hallucigenics for Gemini?" Craig stopped immediately. He was confused as to why she was drugging her own daughter.

"You still have? Perfect. Please send some immediately to my house. You have the address don't you? No? Fine, I'll resend it. Please don't get caught, I need it." The mother put down the phone.

'What?! Hallucigenics?! That's illegal! And to her own step-daughter too! I've got to tell her.' Craig's first thought was like that of a worried person.

Craig opened the door again and found Gemini using her phone beside the IV line so it would not tear out of her hand.
"Gem...has your mother been feeding you anything suspicious lately?" Craig asked immediately.

Gemini was silent. "Well, she did one time...but that memory was really blurry. Why do you ask though?" Craig tried to get his breath steady. "W-well, your mother-"

Gemini's mother entered the room and hugged her.
"You're alright! Please avoid using your phone, Gem."
She plastered a fake smile on her face. Gemini looked at her angrily.

"Mother, just call me by my actual name, not Gem. Only people I trust can call me that."
Gemini instructed her.
"Do you not trust me? Please don't make me sad." Her mother begged.

Gemini's mother stared at Craig who was standing beside the IV line.
She wondered if he was talking bad things about her.
"M-mother, please let me go. I can't breathe..."

"Aww, I want to hug you more though.
Her mother squeezed her closer to her chest.
'If that boy finds out I am drugging this Gemini, it is the end."

Unknowingly, Gemini fainted from being unable to breathe. Her mother noticed that and placed her back on the bed lying down.

"She must have been really tired for her to fall asleep in my arms."
The mother said.
Herman crossed his arms and stood beside Gemini's bed.

Her mother looked at him angry. "Boy, how do you call her?"
She asked angrily.
"Gem or Gemini."
Craig replied as he tried to clear the fog from his glasses.

"Well, do you have her permission to call her that?"
She looked at him.
"Yes." He replied.
"What did you even do to gain her trust? You both are just college students who happen to be talents."

"I am not just a student in the same school.
I am her closest friend.
Someone who she told everything to. Someone who has seen both her happy and sad times.
I trust her and she trusts me." Craig told her.

Her mother seemed pissed off about it.
"Ugh, whatever. I'll be taking care of her now. You should leave-".
"No." Craig objected. "Why would I leave her alone with someone who she doesn't trust?"

Gemini's mother clenched her fist ready to fight.
"Boy, I'm her mother. I will take care of her. You are just her friend so leave."
She demanded.

Craig chuckled. "No, I will take care of her myself. You can leave."
Her mother still insisted.
"You're a boy. I don't trust you enough."
Craig maintained calm despite wanting to hit her.

"Just because I'm a boy doesn't mean I can't hold back it.
I am reminding myself not to hit women unless you would like to hit me so I can do it back?"
He spoke in a calm yet angry voice.

The mother stopped talking and left the room.
Craig sighed relieved.
He was startled by someone placing their hand on him.
"Thank you, Craig." Gemini spoke in a soft voice.

Craig smiled at her and kissed her forehead.
"It's my pleasure. Also, why didn't you resist when she squeezed you earlier?" He asked.
"If I could, I would have but her strength was..."

Gemini pulled him closer to her.
"Why didn't you help though?"
She glared at him.
Craig chuckled again. "Seeing how you could not escape, I also think my head would have been crushed."

"If your head crushes, she would have to pay the hospital bills for you. She isn't rich enough to pull that off." Gemini told him.
"Gem, why are you blushing?"
Craig noticed it by seeing the tip of her ears turn red.

"I'm not blushing, I'm fine."
She smiled at him.
He placed his palm on her forehead to check if it was a fever.
"It isn't a fever, why are you blushing?" He asked again.

"I-i just feel slightly embarrassed by having to trust you.
Most people ranted about how it isn't safe to trust a boy over a girl which I found annoying."
She explained.

-smooch- Gem planted a kiss on Craig's lips again.
He was immediately flustered.
"W-why would y-you do t-that, Gem? You didn't ask me..."
Gemini also had just realized that. "I'm sorry, can I kiss you then?" She asked nicely.

"S-sure..." He allowed. Gemini threw her arms over his neck and kissed him once again.
Craig held her waist so she wouldn't go thump while kissing.
Gemini played with his hair with the hand the IV was connected to meanwhile.

She spotted a glimpse of her step-mother looking through the window. 'Why does she not allow me to have my own privacy?' She thought.

'Well, I should not ask him to do this in the hospital...but...it's almost graduation. I will ask him during graduation. I don't want to force him.' Gemini thought to herself as got lost within the pleasure...
